while the rich fella could have gotten off the ticket as he was parked in a legal valet zone as a hotel guest, he know faces felony assault charges, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

He was legally using the spot as the car was valet parked. The cop had no business even ticketing him, let alone being stupid enough to stick his fucking foot under the wheel.

What a dumbass.

That said, the rich douche could have been a little more diplomatic and he wouldn't have been kising pavement with a pile of charges.
 
Man that's so fucking gay. The guy should have talked it out but that got way too hot too fast. Besides, hes driving a fucking Ferrari, he can afford the parking ticket.
 
I mean, the cop was kinda stupid for standing where he was. Why would you ever even put yourself in a position to get your foot runover?

 
you dont know how long he was parked there for... or even if he was parked there for the hotel. maybe valet were the ones to call..

even if the cop was in the wrong. you have no business driving your car into a cop. end of story.

the cop stood there, expecting anyone in their right mind to not drive into the cop.

my take on this.

Rich guy could've explained himself, told the officer he was parked legally, asked him to move, and been on his way.

on the other hand, the cop wen't apeshit on this guy for practically nothing. the cop moves his foot and lower leg in front of the car after the guy is in the car... the driver would NOT have been able to see that. the cop did not need to throw him to the ground, pin him, throw him against the car, or beat the shit out of the side of his car.

both are at fault for certain things. stupid arguments will ensue.
 
The cop is however much obligated to handle himself in a professional manner. The asshole is not. The cop did put his foot in front of the tire which I believe is illegal because you cannot detain someone for a parking ticket which is exactly what putting your foot infront of the car is doing. this negates the fact that the driver had no way of knowing that the cop did this. Therefore the officer knew he would then be able to detain for just cause if this asshole drives forward. Cops have a purpose in society however I disagree with the manner in which they interpret that purpose. PEOPLE ARE UNREASONABLE as an officer you have signed up to deal with that. Anyone who doesn't understand that is naive. YOU are obligate as an officer to conduct yourself at the utmost level of professionalism at all times. If you cant handle that you should find a new job. no parking ticket that will already be mailed to this guy could ever justify the negative publicity received by the cops actions regardless of how unreasonable the asshole was.

No we actually do know. Read the video description. The youtube OP says that he was receiving the key from the valet and that he was parked there with the hotels permission.

It also says in the description that almost every witness thought the cop was faking the injury and that the wheel never touched him.

 
the car didnt move enough to completely run over his foot, meaning he would have had to pull it out causing more damage.

Thus the way he reacted was like he got pissed off the car moved and jumped into action, he would not have been able to move that fast and would of has to put more effort into freeing his foot.

His foot would have been crushed, and he would not have been able to stand or walk at all.
 
i've had my foot ran over by a car before. it was a crossover and if i had to guess, i would say it weighs alot more than that ferrari. but basically it didnt hurt nearly as much as you might think. the cop limping at the end of the video...give me a fucking break.

I mean legally speaking does the cop have any right to detain you when giving you a parking ticket? I don't think so... If that was the case he should of confronted the man and prevented him from getting into his car in the first place. And bitch please he did not run over his foot, not even close. If he fucking did how on earth could he possible move his foot, cuz the car def did not roll back, and I find it hard to believe you could wiggle your foot from underneath a car effortlessly like that the cop did.

I hope the guy sues the cop. Given that both parties are idiots, and the rich guy could have easily avoided the entire situation if he just talked to the guy. But it was the cops fault for letting that situation to get to where it was, for being in charge of keeping situations under control, he failed to do his job.
 
if the cop would have been wearing the moonboots the driver had on, his foot wouldnt have even been hurt.
 
his girlfriend is just standing around texting. then drives away, probably crashes the car a block away..

that cop completly step out of his role as an officer and turned into a bad ass, the young guy driving the ferrari was just acting like cocky bitch like anyone of us would being young and rich.

okay so ill put a bottle right in front of your tire and if you run it over im charging you for a felony, thing is im not going to tell you when because you cant fucking see it. this whole situation is an example of two dumb fucking americans taking advantage of their oppurtunities, the cops are major douche bags and the rich prick is just that.

Well considering that he's the only witness to have come out and told the story publicly he's all we can really go by. If something comes a long to disprove him so be it.
 
a cops foot is not equal to or greater than a tire chuck.. what the fuck did the cop think was going to happen obviously the dude should have told the cop he had no business ticketing him, but I swear some cops go out of there way to be complete and total dicks. Must have something to do with either they were bullies through school or they were victoms of extreme bullying cases. This is there way to get back at the world.

i dont know what it is about cops but the ones that sit on the side of the road all day ticketing people and like this d-bag meter ferry, seem to be some of the worst scummy people ever. just plain bad people. now ive gotten the cops called on me for shooting guns at my house (completely legal where i am, just have stupid neighbors and the cops have to come if they call) shooting a potato gun, and some other stuff like that, and they were all good, very reasonable people. like the type of cops who become cops to help people, not to sit on the side of the road all day fining people for BS speed limits to meet their fucky quota.
