Cop kills 15 year old, charges friend with the murder

i love how every single time there is a thread like this, without fail there is some kid who feels it's his duty as a citizen to stand up for the police.

actually i don't love it.

 
It's a pretty shitty law, at least if they make a dumb law like that don't charge the kid with murder maybe tone it down to involuntary manslaughter? Not sure if the sentence is much lighter but either way that's a shit law.
Also put yourself in the cops situation. A kid with a gun turning in your direction. This isn't the movies people. Someone has a gun that can go bang that can kill you. Shooting handguns really isn't the easiest thing to do in the world accurately. If someone with a gun turns in my direction I won't wait to get a last second drop that fucker is going down.
You rob someone with a deadly weapon whether it be a gun, knife, bow or shark with a laser beam you forfeight your right to live.
 
this is why we are guaranteed the right to a trial by jury. the kid will most likely be acquitted for the murder. however, i could see how the law might make a LITTLE sense in CERTAIN situations.
 
essentially its put in place because when your an accomplice to a crime that kills, you basically are the direct cause of a situation that killed someone therefore its your fault. but murder? it should be involuntary manslaughter if anything
 
what the fuck is up with a law that says you can get charged of a murder everyone knows you didn't commit.
but well, the law is a law so if it is legal to charge the boy with a murder, he's going to jail right?
 
My friends dad works in the state pen and there is a guy in there LWOP who robbed a convenient store with his friend and when the clerk chased them he had a heart attack and died. Murder charge. Bam.
