Coordinated and Colaborated Mountain Updates Thread.

the last three times i've went i've seen people hike it quite a lot. There might have been more people hiking after us, i wouldnt know, it went into a complete white out after that.

that one with striped is super smooth. i got raped by it on my sceond hit though. my ass is black

that rails sick as hell...hit it on monday...got on a bit early and got a little caught on the paint but its smooth as hell besides that shit...i love it...i love their whole park...fuck yea

Yeo....I'm heading to Kicking Horse tomorrow morning....EARLY!

Anybody been out there today (FRI), and what's visibility like? It looks like total CRAP on webcams....I'm not even sure if the gondi's open.

Let me know yo!...ho! Ho!

Fernie, Friday morning, on the 22. I woke up to Toonie size flakes of snow. I was happy. I booted it up to the hill right for opening at niner. First go up the white pass, I dropped my mit in the snow. It was really deep snow. Im not lying, probably 15 cms (it had only been snowing since 6 30). I picked up my mit, and it was really dry!! SO I rode from niner to 11 15, and there was probably about 100 other people on the mountain at that time. I got in atleast 12 runs in 2 hours. It was a really really good morning. I was by myself, so there wasnt anyone to hold me up. But too bad I had to leave at 11 30 becase I had to catch a bus to Calgary to see my family on Crhistmas time. But it was probably the best morning Ive had in quite a while. I fuckingah killed it too.

hiked it today all the way to 'hidden bowl' or whatever. The pow was almost knee deep i'd say, it was worth the hike. And then the cliffs down past the cornice were just amazing. Also just out of bounds in the West Bowl was incredible... until 'star wars' through the woods to get back to the lifts

i deff saw you at least 15 times, next time ill say hi

i was going up the lift watching you get 1sties on chutes off whitepass.. then i got a line or three in.. such a sick day!

if your goin down the traverse to west bowl look just on the right and theres a line that never gets skied much because its really avi sketch. its the one with the cornice right on top and it looks like theres no way to get out but to hike. that one is called semi-cirque and i dont suggest doin it beause its sketch. just on the other side of it is pipestone bowl which is always good at the bottom theres a trail that goes through the trees back up to the top and if you do do pipestone traverse back into the main westbowl.

wow that doesnt make much sence. well if your going sidecountry go with someone who knows the area.

yeah im with people that know it, and that run by the cornice does look really avi sketch. We were going to do it yesterday but the skinny cornice was hanging out a good 8 feet id say, and it looked ready to give out. We found a jump built at the bottom of west bowl that was really fun, but i ate shit like every time i hit it.

sunshine was dope today! the snow was awesome, but its gonna be all mogal sketch cuz there somany ppl there today. but gabage shoots were dope, our team and some other team was just killin it. this one guy did like a 8 foot to like 20 feet but he lauched and landed at least 20 feet away from everyone else. it was so sick

Does anyone know when the big park at nakiska is going to be open???

There were huge piles of snow blown in that area over christmas hollidays

face shots all week at k ho! no gondola this weekend which was shitty! everything is super stable and suprisingly the wind loading isn't having that much affect as far as avi is concerned

i just got home from blanket glacier chalet near revi. while we were there it snowed almost 2 meters in 4 days and on the third day the 24-hour snow record was broked. it was insaaaane. the tree skiing was neck deep it was so nar. the only downside wasw that we got stuck at rogers pass untill 2am this morning.

damnit, i haven't had a day off for almost a week now! so stoked to get out to louise on wednesday, I can't talk to anyone without hearing how good it is now. too bad it'll be fucking cold, but whatever, it's good skiing

everywhere is absolutely amazing right now...unbelievable!! i feel sorry for ontario though...not a flake of snow there yet

It's supposed to be purty good weather at cop tommorow for provincials training and pre-lims for pipe. the mogul course is pretty much set up and it looks like it's gonna be good. we got good snow and some nice looking bumps and decent looking jumps. the pipe is looking to be good as well.

yea it was me, patty, raf, and two other guys from COP. me, patty and raf were there last night too, and that was shittier than today (even though they never turned the lights on for us tonight). i think it's gonna be a good course.

haha go mougles! haha yesterday was actualy finda fun, bit bummed that i cant go into the mougles...but meh w.e good lucks ppls who are competing

the lake was nar today the sun came out at about 1 and whitehorn 1 was sooooo sick

rodneys gap is soooooo gooooood its worth the 2 hour drive just to hit it all day you can launch like 150 feet now.

dude cop was dope today, first big is the best i can remeber it (not that great of memory...) but its so smooth and the landing is awesome....they better leave it like that tho....but i have a feeling that they might make it smaller again because when we were supose to be training some stupid snowboarder kid went off it and got a major spinal injury, thats the reason they had to close it but still....i really hope they leave it and they actualy inforce the park pass...or maybe cop will meraclously get smarter and have testing to enter the BIG side of the park and leave the smaller side open since they cheaped out on the progression park now...

LOUISE UPDATE!!!!!!!

well ladies and gents, i was at louise today and it was easily the best day of my season so far, backside in the morn was great, but lets get to what most of u probably want to know,

the park is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick, they opened all off the top stuff and they have 4 jumps this year, instead of having 1 big at the top they have 2 medium warm up jumps maybe 20-30 feet, and the table under the chiar is where it was last year, but its way smoother and feels alot bigger(maybe 50-55 feet and it pops u nicely) , and is soooooooooo nice (my fav jump fer sure) then it goes into a huge q pipe which is actually really smooth, then there are alot of fun boxes and rails and and then they have a monster table at the bottom kinda by where the bottom was last yea, it doesnt really look all that big from the chiar, but u go farrrr down sweet spot is maybe 65-75 feet long

so get up to louise if u want to ski a really good park set up, it was amazing today and i am really excited for the rest of the season up there, the park is going offff!!!!11

well, just got home from nakiska, was a pretty good day all in all, it took a while to get used to the jumps, but after lunch some decent tricks were thrown down, the boxes in the main park arent set up all that great, and the jumps are a little wierd for judging speed, but its pretty good once u get used to it. bailer is gonna throw up some vid from the day pretty soon so u guys can check it out
