Coordinated and Colaborated Mountain Updates Thread.

oh WTF clay n neil PLUS wade?!?!! holy christ...superstar list of builders/sculpters...i LOVED kiska a couple years ago...back when chaos was actually dope as shit!! omg the parks gonna be off the HOOK this year!!!!

they still planning on the 8th for opening of the park!?

they should just turn COP into one massive terrain park, and then we'd have pros come from far and wide to ski it. That'd be nuts. But yeah im still stoked for this year. It opens this weekend correct?

the only thing im worried about is when you have that many good guys with different styles they might but heads a bit, Wade is the park builder and designer this year, the other two are just uber good groomers, i might have picked it different if i had a choice...but i dont and shhhh there are spies everywhere.

on the cop site it says the pipe and remainder of the park will be open on saturday, so does that mean no park on friday? if so there goes my morning

Man the park is gonna be sick this year, probably best they ever had, anyone know if the layout will be the same as always or what? cause ive been thinking it would be sick to set up the kiddie killer side into a rail/slopestyle line

yee...this year the kiddy killers actualy look like they suit there name, haha those step downs....well thats what it looks like right now...but yee if they leave that, i wanna see what happens....haha

pretty similar, kiddy killers with rails on skiers right, drop into 3 lip table, then workers big lip or rail, then step up and big wallride, and garbage can jib, more rails on the right then on the left and more than last year oh and spine on skiers left

**brokebutitsworking** we're all in dire despair here...wes is flappin sayin next week now...although you seem to know a shitload more...whens the park gonna be open?!!? im dieing here hahaha...just got new skis too!!!!

i'll find out friday morning and let you know (i hope) and yeah there are park passes, you have to watch a movie and something to go into the big park, at least that is what is proposed i dont know how its going to work or anything yet, i'll let you know.

hahhaa, throw some boobies into the video and i will come and watch, but thats dumb, u should just have to show that u can do something cool on a rail and jump then they will let u get a pass, besides, its always the stupid little kids getting in the way and hanging out on landings, i would venture a guess and say most people on here know what they are doing in the park, or at the very lest when to get out of the way

the video should be on park etiquite, but it will probably just say that we shouldnt try stuff like the pros because we arent pros blah blah blah. At least it will stop some little kids from ruining stuff.

**brokebutitsworking** i'm gonna hold you to that...get an update on here tmrw morning as soon as you can!! and as for the park passes...everyone should be aloud in the top park...and only certain people past that point...for "initiation" haha...i agree, we should all be critiqued on a rail and jump, like have to be able to do such n such on this and that you know?? watching a video is dumb...any little kid could watch a vid and go "yea i can do that, i know that" etc etc...only when wade/neil see that these kids can do specified things will they know they're giving the passes to the right people

PARK OPENS ON SATURDAY DEC 9TH NOT FRIDAY, just chatted to the cat drivers the big park will open on sat not friday anymore, if you dont read this and come anyway, well tough shit i warned you!

sunshine park update:

They are making really good progress on the main park area. i counted 11 of their bigger rails/boxes setup. it looks like the rails are the same as last year but with a few new urban style setups. they also have an elevated flat box which is tilted up then at the end of the box there is about a 7 foot drop and 10-15 foot gap to the landing. IT LOOKS SICK! they have some smaller jumps and boxes on skiers right this time. and on the far left of the park they have a table with two huge kickers, one looks to be 40 feet and the other looks like 60. the 60 footer is massive, about the size of the old chaos jump if not bigger.

Fernie Update:

They opened up yesterday (dec.9) and they had a line of 3 boxes. A flat, an A frame, and a flat up flat. they also had like 4 pinner rails. The snow was pretty windswept, but it was still a good time. if your in the area its worth cheking out.

You built that booter? Nice location.

The landing was a bit hardened when I got there...still sicke though.

I also saw 7 boarders (incl. three chicks!) hit that.

All tried either a backflip or a 360.

Nice pics.

After reading my previous posts in a new light i think i need to clarify, the park is designed and built by Wade here at COP, so thank him if you like it, yell at him if you dont. I may have insinuated that Clay was building the park and he is not, so if i did, my bad. I type before i think i guess.

I feel sincerely sorry for anyone who couldn't go skiing today. Louise was unbelievable, especially in the morning. SO much powder, and it was actually sunny for the first few hours, we managed to get untracked powder on whitehorn twice, and 1st tracks down brown shirt, and pretty much found untouched snow all day long. I love weekday powder days.

the jump your thinking of is the one the boarders built, we built the one right to the left of it about twice the height and width and a better landing. (it was buil on top of a rock so that made everything easier as well.

yeah the park looks nuts. the jump the people were hitting in the pictures is the smaller one, the one next to it is 60 ft. i think. that one urban rail with the stripes looked pretty burley.

and that cliff is near the TeePee town chair, when your going up the chair you will see it on your right. it looked like stu was hitting it in the pictures.
