new page of awesomeness! i cant wait to ski, i went to cop today to check it out and it looks like they have a crap load of snow blown so far, should be ready to open on the 10th
 
i skied today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at norquay. it was really fun. they had the beginner chair open and about half a run width groomed. the rest you were still allowed to ski, there was pow but the coverage was a little thin. there was a rainbow rail set up too. they said they're gonna open more as soon as they can.
 
went to a cop coaches meeting tonight...heres the shit i found out guys...

as far as the air sit goes its gonna be set up like this...one smaller aerials jump, one double size aerials jump...and POSSIBLY a "floater" aka the "80 footer" but that isn't set in stone at all yet, its still in the process of being figured out...but if it is made it will be at least 70ft from lip to knuckle...

as far as the pass thing goes...patty and wade are trying to set up a park pass type of deal...basically what it means is if you're under 18 your parents have to sign a waiver stating that there is definate risk of death etc etc and if you're over 18 you sign it type of deal and you get a park pass...no extra cost over the regular pass...but if you're getting day tickets it'll be a couple extra bucks

the volume of snow there right now is insane and looking like a for sure nov.10th opening with some apparent jibs set up also...should be dope

sorry firedcheese and spinners but this is def not a hate thread on any topic okay? its for mountain updates and related things. i know i'm not the best person to be saying this but seriously, try to keep it to a minimum cuz ppl actually care about this one
 
ummm im definately not sure on that...you'd have to call guest services about it...and as far as the lockers go...no, none this year because the new burton retail shop took up all the space...so either find a really good hiding spot or buy a fucking car haha
 
ok so this is gay, im gonna have to buy a cop pass now right? cause the sunshine pass gave me 50% off last year so like 40 days was cheaper than a pass. but i dont wanna fill out forms and pay extra every time i go to cop.
 
yea this is the first year...or maybe second that sunshines blown snow

and yes...buy a pass for cop cuz if they go through with this park pass shit you will def have to pay extra for day tickets and they ARE hiring monitors to make sure you actually have a park pass to make sure nobody is in the park thats not supposed to be which is dope

 
sunshine hasnt advertised 100% percent natural snow in a couple of years. they dont blow it on the mountain, its only used for the lower ski out and they use it to make the pipe. they might also use it in the village where snow would get wiped out but by all the punters but everything else is natural.
 
like said above they're blowing the snow mainly in the areas closer to the lodge and on the ski out...close to lodge mainly because they want to have a good solid base to work with when the season gets rolling because shit gets majorly fucked up around there mid season as we all know...pretty gnarly shit sometimes
 
thats a good thing, along with hiring people to check passes it would also be nice for them to hire a park crew to make sure lips are in good shape, the neon shit in on the landing, things arent getting rutted, that sort of thing

cause every year shit gets rutted and screwed up and if they had a few people doing that it would make the park so much better

ben you've got a good point bro...i mentioned that to pat last night and he totally agrees and said he brought it up with wade already and they're trying to get something of that sort in action...its just based on budgets right, whether or not theres anough money to hire people to do that kind of shit on top of hiring monitors and pass checkers etc etc...hell im coaching this year and id go do that shit if i had the time in the afternoon or something

and guuuuys we bought a BRAND NEW pipe Zaug!!!! one of only 2 in all of north america...other one is in park city!! anybody stoked on that shit?!?!?
 
cop got it i guess, but eric, all they really need is one pass guy at a time and usually they have like 10 lifties standing around at a time, just make everyone rotate parl duty or pass check duty
 
hey ben does COP have the same thing going with FRESH that they have with mission? like they have a certain number of tickets allocated to them. like mission can have 6 people go for free a day any more and you have to pay
 
the cellar has something similar to that i think...ya'll should just get some lame ass part timer job at cop and get a free pass, discounts on food, occasional pro deals, retail shop discounts...not a bad deal

yeah i work already so dont need another part time job, i wish it was like last year where COP offered people born in 1988 passes for $99
 
sunshine is going to be open for sure on the 10th. they are having standish and strawberry and wawa. didn't they have angel up last year for opening?
 
i was just at cop, they have so much snow, i couldnt believe it, they should easily be able to have alot of cool jibs set up for opening day

in actual mountain update news

cop has cats out grooming and getting everything ready for friday opening

and louise got 15cms over night

and also it is snowing outside my house right now! yey alot better than rain thats for sure
