Coolest things you've made??

oh and thats the other thing, everything everyone builds out of legos always had tons of lasers and guns and stuff on it right?

These are the coolest things ever. I thought they were actual skis at first...until I noticed they were sitting on top of a keyboard hahaha.

Helmet audio kit, custom hoodie, custom sag straps, and custom twall cable covers (I don't like them but I got new shoes and was all like why not?!?!). And yeah I make shit when I'm bored

oh, i built a fucking house with my dad and uncle one summer. pretty sick place, too. dad's little brother bought a bunch of land out on a lake and we built his cottage for him. kind of a fun experience (aside from the fact that we were a little rushed and constantly being harassed by horse flies) but the place looked pretty damn good when it was all finished up. very rewarding experience when you see the finished product, knowing that it's something you built with your own two hands.
true story

Do it, i helped my crew make one, super janky, sways in the wind but still epic, and you can put white fencing on it for winter shred.

currently in the process of making a ski pole shifter for my six speed xterra. If anybody has any tips lemme know!

when i was like eight years old i watched a thing about the hoover dam on the discovery channel so i went into our yard and built a pretty formidable dam in a big ass creek by my house.i used mostly sticks and mud and leaves but i found some concrete my dad had and ended up trying sorta successfully to use that too.

it flooded our yard and driveway.

haha i guess there is no harm in trying...im sure it will be a piece of shit but at least it will be something to practice on

Heres a drum set I recently refinished... aniline dye, sanding sealer, and a bunch of finishing coats. Turned out decently.

And right now I'm rebuilding my reef tank.
Heres the acrylic overflow box I built. It feeds to a second "sump" tank below the display tank. The sump is where all the equipment is kept to keep the display tank distraction free, so you can focus on the fish, corals, etc.

I took this just after finishing with the woodwork. I'm going to stain it with black aniline dye, so it should come out like the drumset, but all black. (as much as I would like to do a blue green fade, I feel like it would distract from the actual tank...)

Heres a photo of the whole thing when I first set it up 3 or 4 years ago just for reference. I set it up in 9th grade I think? I'm a freshman in college now so my craftsmanship has definitely gone up. here you can see the sump/ main tank thing. The plumbing is going to look a lot cleaner now too...

cold frame greenhouse. im able to collect greens around 9 months of the year, and i live in New Hampshire. i designed and built it with some guidance and help from my dad my senior year of HS. a lot of work and research, but well worth it. about $190.00 for materials, but i bet i could get it much lower if i did it a 2nd time.

we used 2 led light strips, connected them, then put them in a gap in between the top of the box and some 2x4's. kind of made a mini trench for them, if you wanna think of it that way. then laid the hdpe on top of it all.
