Coolest Poles?

I think it might be time to stop “borrowing” from the rental department and invest in some of my very own poles. What are the coolest ones a person can buy

Are they very heavy and how are they for grabs?

They’re poles, they all feel the same lmfao. The BMX grip is nice ig but I just bought them cause I thought they looked cool

Fair enough, I’ll get that then

The only real 'performance' difference you'll find in poles is swing weight and thats a very personal preference. Adjustable poles with an extendable top shaft feel very different to ones with an adjustable bottom shaft.

I break poles like its my job so have tried and adapted to all sorts without making much commitment to any type.

I know the new long grip poles of sorts are kinda trendy but I really like my BCT Freeride poles from Atomic. Also that new Folkrm brand makes a bomber pole as well. The long grip comes in handy even inbounds for bootpacking, traversing, etc.

I got some grass sticks as a gift, and they are solid. The one time they broke wasn’t even my fault, it was from the lifts at big sky, and they gave me a new one for free.

I have 3 sets of Joystick adjustable poles (the grey ones) and I love them. They look dope, they're light, the grips are really nice and I enjoy that they're a small skier owned brand that supports good dudes in the industry. They make white and black ones that use a metal clasp instead of a plastic one for like $10 more. I think they could be worth it too if you want. I haven't had any issues with mine breaking but if you're worried about it, go with the metal clasp ones.

Anything with a grab tab, that lil thing is so useful in the park. Idk if anyone besides Line makes em tho.

I have Leki Stealth S. Their straps essentially work as grab tabs. Best poles i’ve ever had

Find broken poles, chop them to length and glue them, remove strap, put on pow baskets, sand and paint them. Boom crazy poles for cheap

Also add some bmx flange grips, I did that and it’s like a 360 grab tab

Same , I put cloth climbing tape under the grip and superglue the shit out of em and hammered a handlebar plug into the top and they're still going strong

If you have the coin, black diamond adjustable poles are really solid, pretty light and dependable. I have a mismatched pair, don’t really remember the model names, but even their ‘lower end’ poles are extremely well built from my experience

Also have always been a fan of joysticks

I've been thinking that a BMX grip with a big flange would serve a similar purpose. Seems a few other users are already doing it
