i got college coming up as im sure alot of people on the site do, i was just bored and ebaying and wondering what some cool shit for my dorm will be, what do you guys think, what are your dorm setups like

yeah road signs and ski posters. also my roommate and i hung a colorado flag(both from colorado going to school in montana) over the ceiling light and it gave the room a cool look

empty beer cans.

seriously, we were talkin bout this as we were moving out...

at the begging of the year, our apt was alldececked out with lights, cool stuff, and everything. at one point, we had a full movie theater in there (suround sound, projector with like a 10 ft screen, and stadium seating couches, it was tits), and by the end of the year, our apt had turned into a big shithole, with nothing but garbage and empty cans of natty everywere.

OOOHHH YES. good good call. that is a definate, either for keepin roomates out of your crap, or to fend of RAs and housing administrators in search of booze.

After breaking one, I've mounted my other '01 K2 Enemy on the wall all rifle-like which is pretty tight. I have a WWII Corsair fighter plane made from beer cans (it looks sick) hanging from my ceiling.

Let me think... it's nice to have a good set of Pint glasses around. People appreciate a good beer out of a frosty glass.

neon signs, big speakers, big tv, fridge always stocked with beer, big couches, posters, skiing shit, anything cool you see thats inexpensive?

you are set with:

ski posters

couch

bean bag chair

tv

xbox

fridge(lock on it obv, aswell always stocked!)

dart board

speakers

computer(or laptop)

possibly a ping pong table if it fits

last and not least mini sticks and atleast two nets.

you my friend are set

haha yeah right good luck fitting a couch, bean bag chair, fridge, place for hockey, and a ping pong table in the average dorm room. not going to happen.

first its not to big of a couch i have, second bean bag can be thrown into a closet, third you dont need alot of room for mini sticks, fourth i said maybe a ping pong table if you have to room. i sure as hell dont.fifth you can always find room for a mini fridge,

and yes i did miss some of the essentials i was just putting in the extras.

^haha just putting in the extras.

Buy a beamer instead of a tv and make ur own theatre screen its pretty easy, I can show u how to make one. I made one and it looks like ur at the movies!

profalactic dispenser...next to your bed...it'll be worth it considering the innumerable daily check ups you're gonna need if u get BURNED

I have lived in a dorm room and seen many other dorm rooms around my campus and the only way i see you fitting all that in a dorm room is if you have are in a single. If you have a roommate i don't see how you could fit all that with two beds, two desks, two desk chairs, all your cloths, all you ski shit, and all your other shit into a 16x11 foot room.

but hey if you somehow pull it off and have the sickest dorm room around then props to you.

all you need is a bed and the hitachi 70 inch HDTV,

my next bit of advise would be for you and your tv to move into a house as soon as possable.

the coolest thing i ever saw in a dorm was:

my buddys found streets with their last names - evans rd. & paterson st. and stuck them up on their dorm room door.

if you name is some what common just check mapquest or google maps to see if their is a road with the same name close to you.

you would be suprised, i found one from me about a 30 min drive away from my house.

we had a mini-ramp and a putting green in the living room of my suite this year. It was the sweetest dorm on campus. Our dorms are huge though, so that wouldn't work at most universities.

If they let u build a loft you can cram a bunch of stuff in there by lifting the beads to the ceiling. A quality ventilation system that can handle the heat and smoke was always important to me.

I got a question for all you college people. How the hell to you have any security in your dorm? You know with skis, dslr camera, climbing gear, fly rods, mac, guitar, bike, etc. What do I do? Leaving this stuff at home is not an option, since the reason I am going to Montana State is to partake in my hobbies as I "learn"

make sure you don't take toooo much stuff with you, or check online to see how big your room is first so you don't overpack...my dorm room next year is 8 feet by 10 feet..shitty deal.
