Cool it with the gear reviews!

I like NS for the awesome media (and M&A forum), but seriously cool it with the gear reviews on the front page. I don't need to see how every Full Tilt boot is going to be, I would go looking for those reviews if I was interested, I do want to see more photos and stuff.

Yeah sorry, that was a setting that was cranked way too high. Its been tuned down now, so they'll fall off as they lose heat and then in the future it will take more upvotes to get these things up on the HP.

Haha whenever I did a gear review, it would always be 5-10 from the top of top page.

i would assume making them go to the homepage probably helped generate interest in it initially. now that most people have seen them, there probably isnt that much of a need to do so

Yep - definitely does. When something new gets absolutely no love and there isn't anyone checking the 'latest' sections its tricky for anything to get up there a bit.
