Cool computer tricks to know (pc or mac)

this is not really that cool but it comes in handy when you want to write it a code hold down shift and alt or just alt (there are different ones) then what ever letters you want and they make different symbols, it is also good for physics. i have no idea if it works on windows but it works on my mac

i wouldn't trust that guy either. never trust anybody who takes pictures of themselves, that's one of my principles.

PC- just discovered that by right clicking the windows taskbar you can add an Itunes mini player. Right click, tools, itunes. So sick, will play whatever playlist you were last on without even having itunes open

My favorite mac trick--
To zoom in and out, hold down ctrl and scroll up or down with your mouse (2 finger drag up or down on a macbook) Everything on the screen functions--you can type, click, etc. It can be really helpful.

some of the firefox add-ons are so sick. just go to Tools then Add Ons. I recommend BOOST for facebook, you can change ur skins on facebook and a bunch of neat stuff, and also check out the new CTRL+TAB application the cooliris.

this is cooliris when searching for images, it turns pics into a 3-d wall from google. but there is sooo much more

its good but my firefox searches a word if i start typing.. its sick.

also, you dont have to put .com for large sits with firefox

if on a mac, download quicksilver. opens applications hella quick. really easy to use program
sorry if it was already posted, I didnt read all the shit
also itunes shut is cool. want to go to bed and listen to music? set it to play a couple songs then turn off

if your friend goes to the bathroom or something, this is the best trick which will confuse them for a long time... Best COMPUTER PRANK

when they leave,

bring up the desktop and press the key on the keyboard that says "Prnt Scrn"

open up the paint application and right click and paste.

a pic of the desktop will be pasted, then save the file to "my pictures" or something

Right-click on the desktop background and select "Arrange Icons By",

then select "Show Desktop Items" to uncheck it. If your friend's computer doesn't show the

"Show Desktop Items" option, you may move all of their desktop icons

(user created ones, not the Recycle Bin, etc.) to a different folder.

You may also hide desktop icons such as "My Documents", "My Computer",

"Internet Explorer", etc. by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting

"Properties", clicking on the "Desktop" tab, and then clicking on the

"Customize Desktop..." button.

then go to the file where you saved the picture of their background and right click and press"set as background.."

then right click on the bottom toolbar and go to properties. Then check the box called auto hide.

then.... watch as your friend attempts vainly to click mozilla or itunes a million times...lol noobz

for macs
command + two fingers on mouse pad lets you zoom in and outcommand + F lets you search for words on the webpagecontrol + command + D and place your cursor over any word in safari for a pop up dictionaryhighlight text in safari and click Safari > Services > Summarize command + shift + 3 for screen shotcommand + control on any application that is up to bring up the preferences menu

For windows:

I got some type of virus after just looking at this page. I ran AVG and AD Aware and nothing popped up but evertime I am on the internet I get a shit load of pop ups. any help? I have firefox on a pc.

On macs, control+option+command+8=inverted screen colors. Or whatever those three buttons are down there under shift.

Did it in school to some girls laptop, and she wnet to the teacher and they couldn't figure out what the problem was. At the end of class i just went up, changed it back and left. It was lolz.

I also know like all the photoshop shortcuts for tools and some other stuff, they're really helpful.
