Convince me to keep my RWD Volvo for upcoming La Nina Winter

Got a 94 Volvo 940. Live in WA stateGood:Only 80k, no mechanical problems, extremely comfortable, 30 MPG HWY....like the car a lotBad:RWD in snow = not the best thing ever (especially for hills...but way fun none the less), no ski storage...thinking about getting a used Subaru instead
Should I just get some good snow tires, chains, and a roof rack and go for it this winter?

I would really have to look at the KBB price...kbb.com will have how much its worth. Then I would compare the KBB book price to whatever you want. Look at autotrader.com, cars.com or craigslist of course.
 
I've been driving an 83 rwd mercedes in snow since I had a license, 6 years now. I find it much easier to handle in the snow than any of my friends' fwd cars.
 
ive been driving a bmw in snow for years now and its fine, and where i live there is snow on the ground probably 95% of the time in winter, and usually see over a foot on the roads once a week or so. ive only gotten stuck once driving up a steep slope in about 2 feet of snow. just get legit snow tires nokians if you can and you will be fine if your not a puss.
 
I drive a 2wd truck and it's beast in the snow. Good snow tires and weight in the back are key. As long as you don't do stupid shit you'll be fine

 
I think people over exaggerate the need for a 4 wheel drive car in the snow. I live in Bozeman, MT and there is snow on the ground 10 months out of the year. I drive a little car, front wheel drive, weighs nothing, no antilocks, I can get around just fine, just like everybody else. Keep the car, just be a little more cautious when its slick out. No need to buy new vehicle for 3 months of snow.. o and luggage rack, will do good, or just learn how to really stuff gear.

Tune the volvo, and make a youtube video like this guy.
