I deliver all the final approved content on a hard drive to the clients so they can have a large GB archive file if they need to use it in the future. It depends where the content is being delivered as well. If its just an online for youtube, vimeo, facebook or other social media and a quicker project. I'll upload it to their channels or send the file over dropbox
I use dropbox and drive to share assets and rough cuts throughout the project with clients, producers and co-workers.
I think DVD and Blu-ray are outdated as a method to deliver archival or low compression files. and a pain in the ass to burn and store haha
With more cameras shooting higher data rates with lower compression or raw and with higher resolutions and dynamic range being slowly adapted, it makes the most sense to save and deliver your work in a quality closest to the acquisition codec from the camera and DVD, BD limit the file sizes and speeds to much for most projects.
They might still make sense for weddings or events when you are giving the media to someone that might not be great with tech and want to just put the dvd on their tv.
