Contact wearers. HELP.

If you have them on your finger, the edge should all point upwards when they are the right side out, if they are not they will look kinda like the edge are curving downwards. And if you put them in when they are not, you WILL feel it, like they want to pop out.

It just takes practice..before you know it putting in lenses will be over in seconds and be in your normal routine! Do not sleep with them in unless you have specific contact lenses which are made for keeping in for days/weeks/months at once. You can sleep with them in it's just bad for your eyes and isn't very safe . When I occasionally do it on journeys or if i forget my contact solution when i'm away from home I get a headache + dry eyes and find it difficult to sleep in the first place because i'm conscious of the fact that the contacts are still in my eyes.

Enjoy better vision though it's 100% worth it!

haha yea man, i make that mistake almost every morning lol. thanks for the help guys, i figured the edge edge would look wierd if it was the wrong way, but its hard to tell on disposable one a day contacts

For the first month it will be difficult. It always seems weird to be sticking something into your eye at first. You won't even think about it soon enough. You just have keep putting them on every day until then.

Was skiing easy the first time you tried?

Make sure to clean your hands before putting your contacts in and use a lot of contact sollution. Don't sleep in them or else they'll get stuck in the corner of your eye.. which is not too great.

i couldnt put them in worth shit for the first week of having them but eventually it just becomes natural. you just have to let it sit on your eye for a second before you close it and it should stay in

Hold your eyelids open with your other hand so you physically cannot blink. That makes them a LOT easier to put in.

About sleeping in them at night, I have night&days which means I can do so for a month. But if you don't have the special ones they wont allow enough oxygen through and you'll develop a condition where the blood vessels grow towards your pupils. Not nice.

The most I ever keep my contacts in is probably 16 hours but my eyes are on fire. You should only sleep in them if your taking like an hour nap. Unless you have the kind you can sleep in. Also don't get water in them

are you getting crusty jawn in your eyes when you wake up? That happened to me the first week I had them, went away quickly though.

ok im gonna jump in here and say, i probably have the worst eyesight without contacts on NS. I have what is called keratoconus (very advanced astymatisms) and its so advanced that for me to get any normal form of vision i have to wear soft contact lenses with rigid (gas permeable) lenses on top. without my lenses i cannot read a single letter on the opticians letter chart and have no point of clear focus, with my lenses i have good enough vision to drive. the double lens thing is a combination of that the cone shape of my corneas is so steep that rigid lenses on their own will not fit properly and that from poor fitting rigid lenses i have corneal scarring. so as you can guess i know a whole bunch about lenses and do's and don'ts. also i have had an operation on my left eye to halt my condition that

hmm i had the same problem, it tried wearing them for like a week but it took me soo long putting them in and taking them out that i stopped trying, i might try again on because i really do need them for when im skiing....

Been wearing contacts for close to 7 years, what i've learned is any type of Oasis or really wet contact you can wear to sleep, just clean them every once in a while. Ive been sleeping in contact for close to 5 years, never had any bad side effects .

Get used to them for a week by taking them off at night and putting them on in the morning.

After you feel comfortable with putting them on/off, just sleep with them on once. And if your eyes hurt, take them off and wear your glasses for the day. If they dont hurt, then idk wear them. Thats it

Ive worn these contacts for 5 weeks straight. And nothing has happened to my eyesight. I use Aquve (or whatever) Oasis.
