Contact Lenses

So this is my fourth day wearing contacts in my life. I've noticed that when wearing them (particularly inside) I get a little dizzy. Is this normal for first time wearers, or is my prescription wrong? I can see better with them than I can with my glasses, but my glasses I don't get dizzy. This is a trial pair of lenses. I would go to the doc but he's closed until the 4th for holidays. I have an appointment that day anyways.

Thanks.

I wear them. I've been wearing them for 2 year. And whenever i'm inside. I take them off, first because it can get very dry and my lenses become itchy. then, if i'm on my comp, they do get me dizzy. My doc says it's normal, because your eyes always stay focus on the same thing and the lenses makes your all all fucked up.. or something like that. So if i'm playing like rock band, listening to the TV, playing on my comp. I take them off. It's a normal thing that you get dizzy. Trial pair are the same thing.. They don't have any difference then the normal one.

any more question. PM me.

When I first got contacts about 5 years ago, I used to get dizzy because I was used to wearing my glasses 24/7, where my peripheral vision was blurry. Now with contacts, I can see everything, so maybe that is why you are getting dizzy.

when i get nre3 prescriptions i get a little dizzy first couple days probrbly. i rarely ake mine out though and ive only had 1 in for the past 5 months...oops. need new ones

ya, just give it a few days. i remember it feeling weird when i first got contacts, then it felt weird when i switched back to glasses too. any time you are altering your vision it is going to take a little bit to get used to.

YUP, I've had mine for about a week and i still get a little dizzy when i put my glasses on. But the dizziness should stop in about a week when you're wearing your contacts, at least it did for me.

i love my contacts, so worth it. sleep in them after nights out, sport in them, apart from anything full contact they sometimes get squashed out of your head, but yea love mine.
just out of curiosity which have you got? monthlies? dailies? ye olde pair you have until you loose them?

i found i had problems with mine for the first few months but my eyes got used to them eventualy.
also whatever discomfort you have is totally worth it, i couldn't imagine having to ski/skateboard with glasses because they would fall off not to mention your field of view is much bigger.
talk to you optometrist; he'll prob hook you up with more breathable contacts

I have been wearing contacts since the third grade (no joke) and i don't get the dizzy feeling but i do feel like my eyes get tired, but that is usually at night i take them out. It gives my eyes a break.

I remember when I first got mine everything looked a little smaller and it was disorienting but I just got used to it.
