Constructive critic of my ski edit

Here's my edit of the past ski season. I want constructive criticism to improve my editing and my skiing. I edited by myself. I ski at Mont-Sainte-Anne and Le Relais in Quebec city. There is some shot (when I wear black pants) from last year as this edit was my entry for the PG>13 contest.

I know there's almost no jumps in this edit. The RCR resort have no more jumps and I got no good shot the day I filmed at Le Relais.

I want to improve my jumps. I am tramping a lot this summer. I will also be at the D-splash.

well yeah, film better, and it seems like you just put a random song over all your shots, work on having different angles and styles of shots, some lifestyle shots, let us know the personality of the skier

I know the edit is not very good. I have no one to edit dor me so I do what I can.

I would need your opinions more on my skiing than the video.

Sick edit. You had some stick shots.
The only things I would suggest are...
A. Stand up straighter on your landings. Really focus on not folding after landing a rail, jump, ect.
B. Keep your arms down. You look like sometimes you do, sometimes you dont. When you';re on a rail try and keep your arms down, not out like they had in the 70's lol.
Other than those 2 things it was a sick edit and sick skiing.

As far as the editing goes i would say try to make the cuts on the beat and use some transitions maybe just to spark it up a little bit more rather than it looking like a bunch of shots you put together with a song. Overall filming and editing were decent and the skiing was pretty good, keep it up you got potential.

-Filming actually not that bad, nice and steady on follow cams.

-Editing was basically just a song and clips put together. Try and get creative and think of something " outside of the box " something different. Watch some other ski edits, and look at what they do. Try and apply these ideas to your edits, but don't fully copy them, it makes you look bad. If it is a season edit make it short, but banging. Two minutes of bangers is way better then 3 minutes of filler, and banggers.

-Skiing was much better then I was at 13, but I find when you land forward you stand up way to straight. It looks like really forced afterbang. When you land backwards though your way to much on the front of your boots causing you to fall forward. Try to be more centered when you land. Get a bigger bag of tricks which will definatley happen next year when you progress more.

-Style, I see style as how you ski , not what you wear. I would recommend edging more when you do your bs 270's because your really twisting your body to get the rotation. Keeping those arms down to makes you look much smoother.

I know that was a long post, but by next year you will be better at skiing and look back on this and laugh a little. Have fun skiing and filming next season.

I was thinking this all the way through the video, maybe just buy a new set, cause it would be way better if the poles had some colour...
