There are facts that we knew about 9-11...and i think Bush wanted it to happen. I don' tthink he planned it...but i think he knew and let it happen, because he knew how much he could benefit from it.
And with this drug thing...listen t here is nothing wrong with pot, at all. you can be tottally successful with smoking pot...its just like alcohol...YES it can ruin your life...but for most people, they use it fine and they function fine. I know a lot of 20 year olds+ who are doing fine and have smoked pot for a while. My sister is 25 and has smoked pot since she was 15. She is an A student at UCLA LAW SCHOOL. My brother, same age, has a very well paying job in boston doing EXACTLY what he wants to do. Same story i know with a lot of their friends. Pot is not a bad thing. Anyone who thinks so is brainwashed...because pot is okay and it is no big deal. it is my biggest pet peeve when people think that pot is such a badd thing...because its just not true.

I agree with sugarloafer I know tons of ppl of the age of my parents that smoke weed and they succed (they have a good job and child and live well) I mean weed can destroy your life but it can be juste a little drug like alcool. Pag you raised quite the point with the military spending. Why not raise spending once our country has been attacked by a militant group? I didn’t see the president jumping the gun after the uss Cole bombing off of Yemen prior to 9/11 (oh and it isn’t 911 that’s a fucking phone number, punctuation does matter with dates). I didn’t see the president demanding increased military spending to help resolve the constant blood shed between hammas and Israel, for the ousting of the Taliban in Afghanistan. If he was so thirsty for power how come those incidents weren’t enough for him to gain it. How come we haven’t heard about the president dying to enter into the Congo to stop the rebel uprising and massacre verging upon ethnic cleansing, because our country is only picking fights that truly will affect us. I’m sure he would have received the votes in congress to attack terrorist in Yemen after they attacked a battleship of ours. From Florida to Texas you could possibly be flying over the gulf and if they see your plane veer off course away from the current path as well as not toward any airport or known flight plan it should raise suspicion. As for the planes in NYC, I’m not sure if you’ve ever been to new york but the airport is not that far away from down town. Maybe a 20-25 minute cab ride, without much traffic, will put you in time square. So for them to see a plane turn around and head to nyc it would be a logical assumption to make that they were going to land there after being called back on something, possibly a mechanical issue with the plane or a disorderly passenger. At any given moment there are hundreds of planes in the sky over the US and for them to notice one that stands out would have to act very erratically (as Payne Stewarts obviously would have with the loss of cabin pressure), or come from over seas without authorization.
Also remember that no one ever thought that people would hi-jack a plane and use that plane as a weapon prior to that attack. It wasn’t something that was actively looked for, I believe. As a country we had, and some still have, and elitist attitude about our position in this world and believed that the issues facing the rest of the world were still far from us.

I also remember legislation in the months after the attacks that dealt with the issue of shooting down a passenger airline. I don't think they would have had authorization to do that. When you hijack an airplane it puts you in quite the seat of power because how (without shooting it down) do you stop them?

NORAD did dispatch planes, 2 F-15's and following that 3 F-16's. There is just a huge controversy that the planes flew too slow. It sure makes a lot of sense that if we planned it we would have hit the Pentagon too... remember that part, it wasn't just the towers. There are conspiracy arguments against that too, but whatever.

Some of your are the ones getting upset with me being in this thread. I am all for people who don't support the president and what he is doing if they have a reason to, based on some factual information. Honestly I am starting to wonder why I even get involved in threads like this on here, no one seems to have the slightest longing to be open minded to adverse viewpoints that don't correlate with their own.
Do i get upset typing in this thread, yea I do because there is such a lack of interest in trying to learn everything about a viewpoint that is possible. I've read the conspiracies that surround bush and the attacks but they hold no weight. I personally think i've been respectful of everyone here raising good counter arguments to your points. People just don't seem to be mature enough to handle political debate here. I'll keep checking this thread to see if anything interesting might happen but based on the past content that is unlikely. (sorry to those of you who did actually post something interesting and valid here).

I've always loved my country, even when bill was in the white house defiling it with that chunky intern (you'd think the man with the most power in the world could get someone better looking). Also being patriotic doesn't mean you need to blindly follow the leader, and I know there are people doing that. Do i get upset typing in this thread, yea I do because there is such a lack of interest in trying to learn everything about a viewpoint that is possible. I've read the conspiracies that surround bush and the attacks but they hold no weight. I personally think i've been respectful of everyone here raising good counter arguments to your points. People just don't seem to be mature enough to handle political debate here. I'll keep checking this thread to see if anything interesting might happen but based on the past content that is unlikely. (sorry to those of you who did actually post something interesting and valid here).
Oh at since when is being patriotic a bad thing? I've always loved my country, even when bill was in the white house defiling it with that chunky intern (you'd think the man with the most power in the world could get someone better looking).
