Connecting a comp to a tv

if so post the link of what i would have to buy to do this... cheaper is better. and its for a laptop to tv so keep that in mind.

its called an S-video cable. The thing is i think its only video, so you would have to either use your speaker system from your computer or your laptop sound or whatever. WOrks like an external monitor so you can do more than just play movies on it im pretty sure.

Get an S-video cable for the video and then if you need to hook up audio get an RCA cable.

Yes most computers have s-video out but you can get a cable that goes from somethign like headphone output to RCA which can plug into your computer

if you have a plasma tv and a tvout on it, you can buy a DVI cabel. and connect it with the comp, but then you must a DVI graphic card, or w/e they are called,. this way you'll only get the image and no sound,. so you must have a cabel for that too..

You need a S-video cable (as stated above) and your video card has to have a video-out capability.

my teacher in 3rd grade used to do that...cant u just take the wires u would normally plug into ur monitor and stick them into the tv?try that i think it might work

where would you place them on your tv. There isnt a monitor input on any tvs that i have seen
