Danny Kass' wiki has officially been locked. Basically, we fucked with it so much the wikipedia mods decided they weren't going to let anyone change it again. Seeing as the only other locked wikis i have seen are from politicians (bush, hilary clinton, dick cheney, etc), i would say this is quite an accomplishment. So this is my formal congratulations to newschoolers and freestyle skiing as a whole. Way to go!
 
hahaha who fucks with wikipedia pages? that's probably the lamest thing NS has ever done...
 
I thought the photoshops were funny, but overall I think that was probably the lamest and most immature contest ever. I agree that it kinda makes NS look like the weaker link.
 
its not a good thing to accomplish, nor is it any sort of accomplishment. my whole highschool was ip banned from editing wikipedia. not something you brag about having done, but somehow my highschool did it...
 
it is kinda funny that it got locked, but there was such a sweet wiki edit that had no gay references at all, and everyone just fucked it up, and went back to the gay jokes. That was super lame.

I mean we definitely talk a lot of shit on here, and most things are solved by peeing in peoples butts... but maybe we should consider acting sort of differently in more public non-ns places. It wasn't like kass said skiing was "gay" he said it was lame. being lame is a lot different than being gay. and while kass most likely is a raging homosexual, we should probably just stick to calling people lame. because if we keep meaking fun of gay people the rock will probably come kick our asses.

no pretty sure that most people that are posting would have said "oh this is awesome lets edit wikipedia with a bunch of gay shit about danny kass" and then in this thread said "i think its really immature that people are editing wikipedia"
 
I couldn't agree more, its WAY funnier to be intelligent with humor rather than just taking the easy way out.

I'm sorry that people didn't find this in good taste, I meant it to be fun and playful. I think there's nothing wrong with a little bit of prankery, as a matter of fact I think its a good thing.

There was some very quality photoshop images out of this, and I think we're going to have a good hilarious winner. We shouldn't take this stuff so seriously, and I'm sure that all of us have the utmost respect for Mr. Kass and all snowboarders out there. They helped shape skiing into what it is today!

you guys are all acting wayyy to serious and grown up. We all know the average age of ns is 14 so act your age!!
 
Haha, that's amazing that NS has that much influence. Doug must feel like a king. Really too bad only one of the edits to the wiki page was actually funny.
 
Oh, c'mon. It was just good clean fun. Do you really think Kass' reputation has been hurt in any way? I would think not. Besides...it's summer...well...now it's fall, but who's counting days?

pretty stupid thing to do, the photoshop pics were awsome for the ns communtiy to share and check out and have a good laugh, but after that it just got carried away
 
No it didn't hurt him, but I'd have been fine if it did. All I was getting at is that creativity was wasted by using dirty dumb jokes, instead of actual funny things. I stopped reading the wiki updates because they were so pointless.
I'm not offended or anything, just putting my opinion out there, because to me that's what NS is about.
 
were you around during the olympics one? we put chad's gap ankle breaking in as one of the activities. it was very funny, not lame
 
probably. NS is so badass, imagine how many people saw it, I bet it was like, a half-dozen! yeah, NS sure showed them. i bet they think we're the most clever, cool, and hilarious kids on the internet now!
 
in its middle stages the danny kass wikipedia page was one of the best things to come out of that thread.

You are anonymous, yes, but you are still identified as part of this community, which represents, well, all of us. Hence, your actions can still make all of us look bad.
