overall i'd say that was an extremely boring comp, the Xgames has become a giant joke. espn has its couple people to pimp the ever living hell out of and the rest dont matter. shaun white gets his nuts gargled non stop while other riders are throwing down just as hard as him but getting scored much lower. the whole competition has become who can spin the most will win, style gets you nothing anymore.

really?Seb has never won slopestyle and they didn't pimp him at all,Alex Schloppy has never won skier big air and they didn't pimp him at all.Kelly Clark hasn't won snowboard pipe in a while and they didn't pimp her at all.I didn't see Kevin Rolland get pimped before and he won.And last but not least, Sammy Carlson has two silvers, a bronze and for the 1ST time GOLD.And style, really, who should have won what events? I really want to know who should have beat who won in your eyes? My only change would be for Simon to have scored higher. Let me hear where the changes should have been, please, say your opinion with evidence. Shaun White is the best actions sports athlete of all time, he goes the biggest, he has the most tech runs, he does tricks no one can do, he deserves to win when he lays his run down. I'd gargle his nuts if I ran X Games, more moms, dads, kids, and teenagers know Shaun White from marketing than any other athlete in the world. FACT!
put yourself in check a little, get your facts straight, and just enjoy X Games a little more, its the best comp there is for our sports. Did you peep "real snow" for snowboarding, good god, that is the sickest comp of all time. X Games aint no joke, if it was, kids wouldn't be throwing down for "giant joke."

Kazu and loiue vito BOTH threw down more stylish and cleaner runs than shaun white did and both got rated much much lower than white. its ridiculous. even the commentators mentioned how style plays no role anymore and that you have to spin fast to win. this was after Kazu threw down back to back spectacular runs, his first only had one double cork though so it wasnt even worth considering for a medal, so he changes his run, throws in another double cork which he executes perfectly and gets a freaking 85.
meanwhile poor vito who is just too small to get the height white gets, throws down a run just as equal to whites and gets 10(!!!!) points less. its fucking bullshit. the judging at X has become so unequal its not even funny, all things are not equal for every athlete and thats the real problem.
and its no wonder that Seb, schlop and clark didnt get pimped, it was a shaun white fest, during ALL competitions. literally, i felt like i was being bombarded with white slobfest every 10 minutes. the damn bfgoodrich commercials didnt help either. the point is is that there are A LOT of athletes there who are all advancing the sport and doing incredible things in their fields, its not all about shaun white. its no secret that many riders where learning and doing things white was getting all the press for (red bull special half pipe/foam pit and all).
i have enjoyed Xgames, but this year felt like it lost something.

scores aside, neither kazu and vito didn't do what it takes to get a higher score than shaun, NO WAY!. and style doesn't count? shauns frontside cripler and method were style to a 10, with not "lots of spinning." i would hope people would stop hating on shaun, he blows the doors off of everyone except kevin pierce, bless his heart. that aside, shaun is the man, forget personality, he crushes skateboarding and snowboarding. 4 times x repeat halfpipe, 2 olypmic golds, and i think he has more than 1 gold in skateboarding x. dude straight crushes it and deserves all the hype, he is the michael jordan, alex rodriquez, roger federer, tiger woods of snowboarding and skating, he dominates and any athlete who competes against him will tell you the same thing, i've talked to a couple (claim).
