ok so i got a mild concussion last night and my neck is really stiff right now and like my head still hurts really bad and like i blacked out when it happened. how long should i wait to go skiing again. i want to go again on tuesday but my parents said not for another week.

so how long do you guys think i should wait?
 
if you go you just have to take it easy for a couple days, don't risk hitting that head again.
 
Don't hit your head and try not to get your heart rate up to high because then your head will start to hurt real bad.
 
on monday night see how u feel and if ur good then ur fair game to ski

if it still hurts then go anyways and just b a bit more careful
 
don't wear a helmet if you go skiing - the pressure can hurt your brain even more.

don't take this seriously, please.
 
hah im on number 4 and i get the same speech too. but mines fomr my dad cuz hes a doctor then my mom starts crying because she "doesnt want me to be retarded when im older" and then i go skiing.
 
My friend just had brain surgery because he had too many concussions and the cavity filled up with blood. He almost died, it was really scary, and now he has a 70% chance fo a relapse. They said he should have died... Concussions are scary thing, and hes had 3, not 4 or 5 like some of you. If he gets another he will probably die.
 
You know your body, You make your own decisons but side on the cautious side. Ive had my share of concussions and i choose not to report them so I'm not pulled from games, but that is my decision. I also have a buddy who has been told not to play anymore due to concusions and has reprecusions from them, for example the other day he couldnt stop shaking like he had parkinsons. He still plays though, when you return work your way back in dont hit a huge cliff first run, but dont let injuries control your life.
 
if you can do a serious cardio workout without getting a headache then your okay. otherwise two weeks is long enough to wait it out. dont risk it man, you dont think the chances aren't that great but then one day it happens and you wake up from the blackout and you can't do anything like you used to.
