Concussion/ PCS with no direct impact?

So In January I hit my head got stars and a stiff neck basically knew right away something was up , got diagnosed with my 2nd concussion the day after, waited a few weeks resting or whatever and then got right back to skiing once my doctor cleared me to return to normal activities.

Fast forward to this past Sunday, I bailed pretty on my hip hard a few times, but didn't hit my head once. Felt completely fine besides a really sore hip leaving the hill, woke up Monday morning completley feeling fine, went to school whatever felt great until about 10pm monday night started to feel a bit off.

Past tuesday and today I've been feeling pretty out of it and having minor headaches.

I booked an appointment with a sports physician to make sure, but

was wondering if anyone here on NS has had any experience with having concussion symptoms multiple days after a crash/ concussion symptoms without even hitting your head?

There are some people ice heard if that experience concussion symptoms for over a year just from the single impact

i was symptom free until monday night

yeah it'll take more than a few weeks for PCS to completely clear up. I was sidelined from all activities for close to two years after my last major concussion

take it easy, don't get right back into the swing of things, gotta progress

Do not fuck with concussions! I've had two within 3 months or so. First one was bad but after a week the headaches went away and I was fine. The second one I clipped the deck of a half pipe and slammed my head into the flat transition. I know that I was knocked out for a few seconds because I remember waking up, but not long enough that anyone noticed because I skid to the bottom. Immediately I realized that my sense of balance was off. diagnosed with 2nd concussion. It took me 6 months to heal and then when I started skiing I was still getting kinda dizzy. Took it easy when not skiing and the dizziness went away when i was skiing after about 2 weeks. still get dizzy when I spin a nine or ten on my trampoline but I can live with that.

If you felt completely fine afterward, and it didn't start Monday night at 10, it sounds like you were tired. What I noticed in my experience is that sleep and drinking water were the most important, besides avoiding bright light and loud noises. Hope this helps

Thanks the head, thing is I'm not aware of any hit to the head since my concussion in January.

Anyone ever have experience with concussion with no direct impact?

You can get a concussion without a direct impact, you could shake your head right now and get a concussion if you really tried. Concussions are not something to mess around with, take it real easy these next few weeks.

There should be 3 or 4 stages of clearance until you can go back to full activity.
