Concussed friend

My Dear friend Robert got a severe concussion last friday, and is suffering from permanent memory loss, he doesnt know who anyone is, or what anything is. Knowing that there is lots of members on here that have suffered from concussions/know someone, how can i help him get through this?
 
Vibes man. There's nothing you can do other than being there for him as much as you can. Definitely will be tough, I haven't dealt with permanent memory loss but my friend had some pretty serious surgery and was completely out of it for about 3 or 4 weeks. You just have to be there for him and be understanding of his situation and be as positive as you can. Hope things work out, can't imagine being in your situation
 
Thanks man, i visited him in the hospital today and its just so damn sad, hes so lost with everything. Im trying my best, +k for the vibes man.
 
Luckily I've never had to deal with a memory loss situation like this with a friend but like the other brotha said above me just be there for him, and be there for his family. Help them out however you can. I'm not sure how old you are but you or your mom/dad should make them a meal you could bring to the hospital if they're staying there in the evenings. When I was in the hospital a friend did that for my parents and me it was nice to have home cooked food rather than the hospital stuff and my parents appreciated it because they had been going out to eat rather than cooking obviously.
But yeah man just be there for your buddy vibes to you, vibes to his family and major major vibes to him. May the sun be on his face and the wind at his back, and I'll keep him in my thoughts hoping for a speedy recovery.
 
this happened to my brothers friend back in high school. despite what doctors were saying he actually got better and ended up getting his memory back. im not saying this is gonna happen, im just saying theres always a chance. stay positive.
 
I had temporary memory loss for about 5 days while I was in the hospital. Really what helped get me through it all was the people who stayed by my side the whole time. Is his memory loss permanent or just temporary? Perhaps some will come back, I know mine started to filter in after about 5 days and I was back to good after about a week
 
The docs say its very very slim he will ever regain his memory, and if he does we it will be within 2 weeks, or not at all. Thanks for all the help guys! I call him every day and visited him today, i can say for sure hes being stronger than i ever could be in his situation.
