SOk well i went to wapred tour wednesday, and im not too sure as to whether it was more of a bad experience than a good one. you guys can post your experiences and the bands youve seen and if they were good or not. im looking for a lot more bands to see.

Bad Points

Fat people should never crowd surf

If youre gay you dont have to announce it to everyone (i.e. having "i love buttsex" written on your arm in sharpie)

Fat people should also not wear backpacks

Why charge 3 dollars for a bottle of water when monster is free all day?

for gods sake put the stages closer together and play the good bands on the main stages

"Hardcore dancing" is ridiculously dumb

Dye your hair a week ahead of time instead of the night before so the dye isnt still on your skin

Good points

Coheed and Cambria is the best live performance you could ever see. I mean, come on, Travis Steever threw up on stage while still playing his guitar solo and singing, then finished the set.

Chiodos is a must see. So is Funeral for a Friend. If you dont listen to them you should give it a try.

The chick from Paramore is amazingly hot

No one showed up to watch hawthorne heights. I laughed at that, they are horrible.

never really had a prob wit fat people before...

i dunno what kind of fucked up warped tour you went to but its more a problem wit stupid emo kids runnin around bein fags

and yea chiodos is sick!!!

yes the good bands should always be on main stage

That's a good point?

Dragonforce: Pros: Shredding XXXtreme adventure metal antics

Cons: your Xtreme-ness threshold is irrepprably damaged.

at an oar concert we were in the front row and this obnoxiously drunk huuuuuge guy was like flailing around and hitting us and bumping us until we left.... reallllly fuckin pissed me off

and a completely different experience was the parking lot at a phish concert...ohhhhh man.

the lots are incredible at phish shows...at the allstate arena in illinois in 03' we were in the lot until cops showed up in riot gear clearing everyone out. they confiscated several padded boxes of handblown glass pipes worth easily several thousand dollars in a heartbeat, it was a sad sight to see the blower nearly in tears.

Yeah, its unreal. Last summer I was at the Phil Lesh and Friends concert featuring Trey and the Duo, and the parking lot was the most insane thing I have ever seen. Hippies were wandering around selling glass out of briefcases, everybody was selling weed, and any drug you could ever want was being offered by random guys wandering around asking you to buy their shit.

warped tour is just not my crowd or taste of music... any jam band concert kicks the shit out of it any day, but thats just my preference.

Me and my friend went to the motley crue/aerosmith concert and our seats were really high up so it was kind of gay.

So after motley played we went down to get some drinks and what not so then aerosmith started playing and we were just planing on going home after a couple songs.

So we were just standing in the handicap section just watching aerosmith and this guy and this kid come up to us and the dads like "hey, do you kids want these" they were just folded up pieces of paper and we didnt know what they were so we're like ya sure, thanks.

We open them up and they were receipts for tickers but they were just printed out or whatever, and they were stage side tickets.

So we were like omfg and we go to the section the police men and the usher were standing there and we give him the tickets and hes like yep follow me and he takes us down, and he told these people to move cause they were in our seats, and we were 2 rows away from the stage.

It was sweet

motion city soundtrack is an amazing live show.

also, try not to get dropped on the ground straight to your back when crowd surfing. people might stomp on you.

today im seeing ben kweller, state radio, guster and trippin balls, so i'll tell you what thats like. i think im gonna dance till i pass out

dragonforce:

pros- an ok band

cons- 20 minute guitar solos while you are crammed into an overpacked venue with no ventilation. also the stupid asian guy wouldn't stop spitting water on everyone. and the keyboardist is lame

pros- ehh

coheed and cambria:

pros- pure amazingness! yes i said it. amazing live. i don't really like them anymore but they still were great

cons- i had to leave the show

blood brothers:

pros- again another amazing live band. go see them

cons- you get super tired because the whole time you go crazy

all in all i've had good concert experiences. coheed/blood brothers was easily the best. it was a less emo crowd believe it or not. if you dont want to get hit by the fat guys, just spot them before things get nuts and avoid them to begin with. if they try to crowd surf just drop them

side note: always respect the security. if you are nice to them. they don't care how many times you crowd surf. also they saved my life one time. no kidding a guy caught me by one leg liek 6 inches before my neck hit the ground
