Just bought a ps2 (playstation 2 now ps/2) converter so i could plug a ps2 controller into my laptop, it says the driver installed correctly however it wont work. When I try to update the driver it says the best one is already installed on my machine. When I plug the device in the usb port, it says unknown device. Anyone know anything? thanks.

 
Yes I have tried, It doesn't work. Also I've reinstalled it three times. I just did and it said the driver was installed correctly, then it also pops up and says unknown device.
 
Ffs, jesus christ on this piece of shit... it worked fine on my desktop. It doesn't even say on the box that its not compatible with vista, ffs im mad.
 
It's your fault for getting Vista. You should have noticed by now that Microsoft sucks at making products that actually work. They realize that people will still buy them, even if they are filled with problems, simply because the majority of people out there don't know shit about computers. The bugs in Vista won't be fixed until 5 years from now, much like how XP was horrendous until service pack 2 came out.

i think we should make a thread where whenever vista makes us mad we go there to rant about it....and then once it reaches like 100 pages in like a day we send it to microsoft and demand free xp discs for all of the vista ns population
 
Yes, however I had planned on switching back to xp, but encountered a slight obstacle... The laptop I bought doesn't have the drivers available for xp. The company simply doesn't make them. stupid.
