Please respond, any input is helpful. I'm getting a new computer, is it worth the 29$ to upgrade from Basic Vista to Premium? The basic difference I could see is that Basic doesn't have the scrolling window feature.

Yes, for sure. It's only 29$ and premium gives you a ton of more stuff. Basic is stupidly limited.

Sorry, I'm not really computer savvy, I've heard of it before but is it some sort of free OS?

Also, I was thinking of not getting Works or Office and just DL'ing Open Office for free. Does anyone use it, and how do you like it?

i've got it, it works fine, I still end up using word most of the time anyway

Save yourself the trouble, order from dell, get XP...vista wont be good for another year or two
