Computer HALP!!

So I am posting this on my laptop right now cause I don't know what I did to my desktop...

I got new RAM in the mail today(the right kind, no worries there) and I went to install it a bit ago. I got two 2gb sticks and put them in just fine. When I turned it on, nothing worked. The power came on, along with the fans, but the power light on the front was orange instead of green. So I put my other RAM back in, and it is doing the same thing.

Now it is possible that my motherboard can not support 2gb sticks, so that is a possibility... What else could it be? And how could I remmady the problem if my speculation of it not supporting 2gb sticks is correct?

Thanks in advance,

hm....

can you acess the bios?

like does anything show on the monitor when you turn it on?

also another idea

is to unplug the compouter

make sure the old rams in

there should be a litle watch battery in there

take it out

than put it back in

No access to the bios at all. The screen looks normal at first(start up), then says no signal. My HDD obviously is not spinning. I may have bumped that off so nothing boots lol...

Also, I already tried the battery idea. How long should I leave it out for?

Jeez I haven't posted on NS in a while.

Some boards make you plug the dual RAM in certain slots (Ie. 1 and 2, 3 and 4, not 1 and 3, 2 and 4).

Do you have the dual ram in the right place?

Also, its possible, with install, you forgot about static and fried your board.

But I'm just guessing right now.

Hahaha ya I am not that stupid! I mean it is a valid question though.

Is there anything else that it could be?
