I figured it would be a great idea to make a comprehensive thread on SWTOR seeing as it comes out in 12 days!!!

Well I guess I'm buying an xbox, or whatever plays that...

Last time i got addicted to a videogame was three years ago. Star wars battlefront...
 
I was all prepared to hate but then that video was kind of awesome. Although Han Solo pretty hardcore ripped off...
 
I loved the Star Wars movies but this Old republic and after return of the Jedi stuff is so stupid
 
i love the movies and i dont understand the hate on the old republic stuff. its sick

I only ever played KOTOR but that game was the shit! lots of gameplay and a good plot
 
If this game was free to play, I would definitely play it. I don't want to pay like 15 a month for it...
 
Totally worth it! You won't be buying any other games while playing this which makes up for the $15 a month.

Just a question, if this took place roughly 3000 years BEFORE the Star Wars saga, how come there are clone troopers?

Either way, I used to play like the old republic games (the one where you were a random jedi who escaped a massacre at some planet). Looks like I have to get this one.

pretty sure its closer to 19,700 (it takes place 300 years after kotor 1). Anywho, im level 25 sentinel on the server mandalore the indomitable.
 
this originally was a "sequel" to kotor 2 so in the game the timeline is thusly around that era. as far as the "clone troopers," they're not clones but rather soldiers of the republic. at least thats what ive gathered from watching/reading the endless coverage going to the release.
 
That just one. I'm sure the game designers are not stupid enough to put clones in a game that takes place before the clones existed
 
is anyone else reminded of a certain Ben Kenobi on a certain Death Star when he sacrificed himself to get young Luke and company out of there? i was slightly insulted at the likeliness.
