Competitions?

I've been wondering about this. Loveland is my home mountain, so part of me would be stoked about this comp. But, at the same time what would the venue be? Wild child is sweet, but its essentially one hit into a short mellow bowl, not really a chance for competitors to showcase their ability to ski a fluid line, more their ability to throw a backie off a cornice. Seems to me Marmot would really be the only option.

yeah I pondered that as well, I mean the ridge is all good terrain but the line choices are short. I'd love it if they just made it into a man built booter portion hahaha but that'd never happen...

but i dont think im going to join a team again this year, so i think that would take some of the fun out.

plus since im in co now i want to be on more of a pow mission

il be doing usasa slopestyle when it comes around. any rail jams in the boulder area soon?

Nick (the founder of the event) wants a stop at loveland or a basin this year i think. I dont know loveland enough but a basin doesnt really have a good venue either. Maybe the gnarly part of montezuma bowl but there not enough rocks and cliffs, too spaced out. Tele trees (farrrrr skiers right of the fingers) might be a deent option, but thats pretty flat and gets a lot of sun bake going. We'll see what happens. The WP/MJ events were a lot of fun last year, hopefully he can set up another stop or two. Hell, lake chutes at breck wouldnt be too bad, if the management would be ok with it, albeit, a little short.

That would be sick!!! A BC slopestyle day on wild child, then a big mountain day on marmot! Those rolls on wild child would make for several bc booters, combine that with the cornice and upper rocks and it could be a three hit run, maybe add in another booter or two in the run out below the toilet bowl. Like you said too bad it will never happen...
