Competition Forum?

Since contest result threads aren't allowed in SG, it would be awesome to have a forum section all about comps. No one's DVR recordings will be spoiled, and those that want to be in the loop can freely discuss what's happening, while it's happening.

I know there are good contest coverage articles on the site, but having a forum for them will bring even more information to the plate. There could be anything from a tiny rail jam in NY, all the way up to the Olympics, and sticking it all in one place will let everyone know what's good with their favorite riders, and their favorite events.

since when was that a rule? sure, don't put the winner in the title of the thread, but I don't think anyone has ever said anything about them not being allowed.

while we're on the topic... I thought that during the X-Games, we did a great job at keeping everything contained to the one thread. Sure, there were a few offshoot threads about this or that, but for the most part SG wasn't completely overrun with threads about the same shit.

I mean, if we can't talk about the current going ons in professional skiing in ski gabber, what's ski gabber for? I'd much much rather see SG full of threads about the going ons in the pro comp world than all these "I just landed a 360!" or "what should I try next?" threads.

not to mention PBP and Kaya both making threads today promoting their current webisodes... that's what NSTV (and the news feed it seams) is for.

That's a problem for me though. it would be awesome to have a forum where each event can be discussed freely, so I don't have to trawl through a single thread looking for the information that I want.

You liked keeping the X Games contained in one thread, so why wouldn't you like keeping ALL of it contained in a forum that makes it easier to read about what you actually want to read about.
