Boulder is tough, a lot of competition for the best jobs. Since you're a skier and you're into communications and technology, why don't you look at applying those skills to a job with a major resort company. The two in Colorado are Vail Resorts and Intrawest (Copper and Winter Park).
Just an idea, since I haven't seen your resume and have absolutely no idea of what your actual skill sets are.
Spyder is in Boulder as is the Outdoor Industry Association (google them for their website) which should be able to provide you with a list of outdoor oriented companies which may be hiring.
You should also check out Denver. More employment options, generally cheaper housing than Boulder and depending upon where you live, closer to the major ski areas.
Finally, if you are going to make the move, you'll want to sort out your pass quickly, as prices are about to go up. The two major options are a Vail Resorts pass (I think it costs around 350) which gives you unlimited turns at A basin, Keystone and Breck w/ 10 days at Vail/BC. Theres a slightly cheaper pass for Copper/Winter Park. and then other options like Loveland (cold, core and low key).
Best sources for jobs are Boulder paper, the daily Camera and The Denver Post (denverpost.com).
Good luck
