Comp or econ paper

my big independent research project for Economics is due on monday. I have only an outline. stupid, I know. this comp coming up on saturday is the 2nd to last one I can do this season and I've been missing all of the others due to injury and other schoolwork.

Should I spend saturday and sunday skiing? I really need the A in Econ, but I'm also just itching to ski (haven't for 2 weeks).

Why don't you ski Saturday for the comp and then hate your life Sunday working on the paper? It blows but sometimes doing a one-each weekend is the best answer.

What's your research paper based on? If I have some stuff kicking around maybe I can help you out. (I have an econ degree).

why aren't you working on your essay right now??? write a draft tonight and revise it over the weekend, then you can ski and get an A

no can do. already signed up for skiing on sunday through my school, which means cheap passes. I'm staying overnight on saturday if I go to the comp, so I'd be there sunday for sure anyways.

Has to be 10+ pages long, I am working on it.

and to the dude with the econ degree, mine is about Obama's stimulus plan and why it will or will not work.

Arent you a senior in high school in your 2nd semester? You dont need a flipping A in economics, just turn in something crappy~

I have conditional acceptance to a couple schools in my top choices and some scholarships riding on my grades. I need to do the same or better than I did before in all my courses, which I had a B+ in Econ. my math grade is going down the shitter, and this project can help balance out my GPA.

Just write as much of it as you can, then show up to class on Monday and explain to the teacher that you had a whole thing written, but found some new research, so you want a few days to put that into the paper since it changed how you were thinking about the topic. Show them what you've got done and explain what you're going to do with the new research. That way you seem super-invested, and score yourself some more time to work on that bitch.
You'll never regret biffing a little bit on a paper, but you'll probably look back and be pissed that you didn't ski all weekend, you know?

for full ride payment to some schools (at least my situation...) they will need you to maintain high marks to see whether you're a good investment. highly selective schools also do it as well just for most everybody as far as I know.

If you were to die next week, you wouldn't have wished you has spent the time on the econ paper. Go skiing, and in the meantime, get your ass going on it and spend every extra moment you have to do it.

Are you going to be there on Friday? I might be coming out to watch.

be where? crystal?

I'm back home in a week. Rowen said he wanted a tour and that you were coming along apparently, so I'll hit you guys up when I'm heading to the mtn.

yeah that was the question I had too..

There is SO much information out on this - although 90% of it is fairly unreliable

I'm not sure yet. But I came up with the topic, everyone comes up with their own so I could completely change it if I needed to.

better grades lead to better school, which leads to better paying job which ends with more money to spend on skiing. Its one comp, there will be many more that you will be able to afford to do when you are out of college with a good job. Seriously, I had to make similar choices in my past but with mt biking, I wish studied more and could have a better paying job than i do now. Holy shit I am getting old.

and obama is in way over his head.

what will matter a year from now more. do the paper

and i have not skied in a month, and not because of injury. so you dont have it that bad
