im looking to possibly attend here in the Fall of 09 however for atleast my freshman year i will not have a car. Will getting out to the resorts be a problem if living on campus?? and is the distance all to bad? I ski 70 or so days out of the year where i live now at a 10 min drive to my resort. Will it be possible to get near this much skiing in while still being a full time student?

i dont know about how the busses work at the U, but you can definitely ski 70 days if you get your schedule right. i go to uvu and just stack classes on tuesdays and thursdays, work nights, and ski every other day. it sucks sometimes, but its very very worth it. i got 85 or 90 days this last year. its possible.

make friends with people with cars, kick down gas money. It WON"T be hard to make friends with cars at the dorms that ride.

it sucks trying to get there on the busses.

not at all when you are starting. it can get harder as you get into higher level classes.

alright thats good to hear, im getting some credits out of the way now in high school so hopefully that will help also

Yea your first two years are real easy to get good class times for skiing. last year i had class mon-thurs from like 8-11:30 and then rode everyday from like 12-4 and then had weekends to ride whenever too.

Tuesday / Thursday schedule is the ticket for spring semester. Get any classes you have to take that aren't available on Tuesdays/ Thursdays out of the way in the fall semester. You can schedule all of your classes for just those two days, and then do a night class on a different day if you need to. That leaves 5 days a week to ski.
