Comfy Full Tilt Booter = new tongue or defecting from Full Tilt?

I have a pair of Full Tilt booter boots. They look steezy and are easy to get on and off.

They are the right mondo size, were heat molded and I wear thick wool socks.

Still, I feel plastic digging into my feet while my feet feel loose in the boot despite the top buckle at the tightest notch and reefing on the power strap.

Is there anything I can do? Stiffer tongue (how stiff, I think I have a 6 now), different full tilt boot, different liner?

As of now I think the boot is holding me back with the pain from the plastic and how loose they are.

What kind of liner? The intuition? How tight did you clamp your buckles when you molded them? I ski a 10 tongue and a 12 tongue in my pairs.

If they're that loose then they're either not the right size for you, or you belong in a narrower/lower volume boot. Especially if you're wearing thick socks to take up volume, they're likely too big (you should only ever wear super thin socks in ski boots). That Booter has quite a generous amount of volume, and I mean generous in a big way haha

It’s the intuition liner. I wore the same sock and had the buckles the same when they were heat molded.

Pretty sure the booter some with a 6 tongue and I think that’s part of the issue with the flex.

Thanks for you’re advice!

The foot size is right, if I went any smaller I would have foot rub issues.

My feet are slightly wide. Sometimes I need to get a 2E width shoe. Most Nike skate shoes are too narrow for me.

I wear ski socks, the thickest I can find. Usually they are Salomon ski socks.

What boot would you recommend for someone with a slightly wide foot but low volume and stiffness?

Thanks for you’re advice!

I know that intuitions are super super sensitive to molding and you are definitely supposed to watch the directions. I wore stockings and molded with my buckles pretty much as loose as they could go with still being clamped and no power strap and my liners packed out perfect with a ski sock. Honestly if it’s the right shell size order another liner and don’t clamp your buckles down tight. I didn’t use toe caps and didn’t have a problem. But ya I mean try the tongue change. I don’t see how that would change rub issues in the shin or ankles. Where did you get your liners heated. Were they a intuition dealer?

Go to a boot fitter. I or anyone can recommend anything but who knows if it'd actually work for you.

Thick socks are not your friend, just want to reiterate that.

I got the heat molding done at Christy sports in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Definitely not as good as the boulder location, but I think they are a Intuition dealer and know what they are doing.

The heat molding did make the boot more comfortable.

I wore Salomon mid weight ski socks and the buckled and power strap the way I normally do. That’s what Christy sports told me to do.

When I’m at Phil’s Skis in Costa Mesa, CA I’m going to check out boots (they are a full tilt dealer) and drop off pipe skis to get mounted.

This is good info. Just trying to be somewhat knowledgeable when I’m there.
