Kiss didn't put out a decent song EVER. they just painted their faces and paraded around like a bunch of rabid monkeys on uppers. gimme a break.

just becasue your mom popped pills when you were in her womb and grew up angry and either listen to gangster rap or screamo/ emo or heavy ass metal music, dosent mean KISS sucks. any REAL oldies or rock fan will tell you that KISS makes good music.
 
why? even if you don't ride line, you have to support them and what they've done of skiing.

YOU can thank them for you trying to "make a name for yourself" in skiing.
 
FUCK YOU. KISS was an awesome band, they made tons of great songs. Detroit Rock City? Love Gun? Dr. Love? New York Groove? I could go on for alot longer. They poured their hearts and souls into creating a band and an image, and LINE skis rips it off without so much as a shout out to the band. Wouldn't you be pissed if you spent your entire life doing something and in a second some guy rips it off and starts making money off it without your permission?

Don't you get it, LINE is MAKING MONEY off of the band. They are profiting from the hard work of everyone in KISS and not giving respect where respect is due. FUCK LINE!
 
KISS was good at first, then they sold out and started making songs like "I was made for loving you" which was a completly different style than they're typical music and was obviously put out to catch the disco wave
 
You my friend are an idiot. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that you are under the age of 15. If you ever go to college or university and take any marketing or most economics courses you will learn that something incredibly small can change the profits of a company significantly. For example! The graphic of a specific ski can have a huge impact on how well the ski sells. And if the ski has a picture of a KISS member, I'm sure the skier who is decided between 2 skis, and happens to be a KISS fan, will more likely choose the KISS skis. Trust me, it makes a difference.
 
are you kidding me? nobody like studies the ski and says, "Oh there's kiss on this ski now im gonna buy it!" hell no nobody does that they look at the ski and if it has good graphics and performs well theyre gonna buy it
 
Ok, you are obviously missing the point, I'm not saying that anyone will buy the skis purely based on the fact that they have KISS on them. I am simply saying that a consumer's purchase is definately based on the appearance of the ski. Plain and simple, the graphic on the ski has an effect (no matter how small or big) on the consumer's final choice.
 
the problem with that is that the type of people who are buying the anthem arent the same type of consumers who would be buying a ski based on some graphic, especially since its this small, and the kids who are buying it based on the graphics are too young to like KISS. i promise that they will lose because there is no way to prove that the image is actually of a kiss member. an artist from the company drew it and it doesnt expressly say that it is a member of KISS so its gonna be kinda tough to prove.
 
yeah u make an ok point but...

come on isnt it kinda sketchy that KISS noticed this on skis, are they really searching that hard to find a pair of skis before they even hit stores, also does it really resemble a member of the kiss band or is it just supposed to be a rockstar on a ski with some facepaint, cause there are plenty of rock bands some not so main stream that wear facepaint, i wore facepaint and carried around a guitar on halloween 2 years ago...can i sue line? did kiss really copyright facepaint OR are they the ones trying to make a quick buck through, now and days such a common event, a law suit
 
Bottom line, they had no permission so I have no idea what they were expecting. It was sort of a risk in the first place. Saying fuck kiss because of this whole thing is just retarded...I don't get everyone...hah.
 
has anyone looked a the anthems the ski has a whole of people who look like real singers and shit, goddamn line was putting a really cool graphic with someone who resembles a band member from kiss(hopefully not on purpose) and bam lawsuit, shit is weak
 
I was looking at buying anthems, but i decided against it. I didnt even realize it was KISS on the fucking ski, their facepaint isnt even white. Looked like a generic rock stage to me, oh and uhhhh FUCK KISS
 
DOES ANYONE REALIZE THAT KISS DOESN'T NEED THE MONEY?? They really don't. They make millions every year. They aren't doing it for the money, they are doing it because they want to protect their own property and intellectual rights.
