Colorado vs. Utah???

I knew about this before it even hit the 9news site. It hurts EVERYONE in Summit County, not just one person. The Dam is not going to just one day break. Come on, you are smarter than that. They do testing all the time to see and decide that. Also, I'm not "just posting it on ns'ers" This hurts the whole community, there are only three ways that go East and West. One, being I70, the other is Dam Road and the one you mentioned is Swan Mountain Road. Have you ever been on that in a bad snow storm? Its a nasty road with all kinda of sharp turn. Plus, if someone is going from Frisco to Silverthorne, would that road make any sense? Where am I metioning anything about Loveland Ski Area? I do recall mentioning Loveland Pass, im sure you have heard of it. Many people take that route when the hwy is closed and they don't want to sit in traffic. Don't see where that has anything to do with "derending Loveland". Anyway, thanks for playing!

so this is thinking about my personal convenience?

On Thursday afternoon, Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue showed a demonstration of how difficult it is for emergency vehicles to get across the Dam Road.

The fire department listed seven steps that have to be taken:

1) Call one of three numbers provided by the local Denver Water Board Representative to request access to the road (including during emergent responses - e.g., medicals, fires, auto accident responses).

2) Wait at the barrier(s) for a guard to come and unlock the gate from the guard shack located only on the east side of the Dillon Dam Road.

3) Once the gate is opened, proceed through the jersey barriers.

4) Wait for Denver Water Board security to close and re-lock the gate.

5) Follow Denver Water Board security across the Dam Road to the opposite side of the Dam to proceed through the exit jersey barrier/gate.

6) Wait for Denver Water Board security to open the gate.

7) Drive apparatus through jersey barrier and gate and proceed en-route to call.

Its not hard to find pow up until 12, unless you have no idea where to go and follow other people who dont know where to go. People rush because its good skiing, if you dont want a rush go to solitude.

Actually it's 100cm if you read the graph correctly and YES, Andermatt is 6000 vertical feet of epicness.

Outside of january-february-march you just use the middle station and still get twice the vertical of Alta. Haha I loved the "you can find pow till 12" comment :)

UTAH for shiz. more snow, less populated, WAY BETTER BECAUSE MORMONS DON'T SKI ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!

ok 50 cm at the peak, then it goes down to 25.....even then 50 cm is like 40 inches. it looks like your best skiing on that mountain is low. haha and lying about the vertical real mature. i donno something about this place is a lot more appealing than that mound of a mountain with one patch of trees on it.\\

so you can only ski the whole mountain three months a year...SICK

i just skied yesterday, JULY 10..... top to bottom, i had to walk in 3 spots for about 10 minutes total.
