but as for the police story, since the case finally got dismissed I can give some details. pretty much back in feb. i was at my buddies birthday party. 2 rando kids from montrose, co showed up (5 hours away) who knew no one and were causing problem the whole night. one kid, names Jesus (picture jesus from big lebowski literally), got into a fight inside the party and i guess when he was running out of the house he threw my girlfirend into the wall. I didnt see that but she immediatly came up to me and told me what happened.
a couple friends and i then went outside to look for the kids but we figured he was long gone. we hung around outside for a bit talking then this kid reappears out of no where and violently slammed my girlfriend onto rocks for no reason. i chased the kid tackled him then enjoyed hoodstomping the shit out of him for a few minutes along with others. we figured the kid had enough so we let him up. he got up and threw my girlfriend on the ground again and took off running
I then chased him, tackled him through a fence using his head to break through a 2x4 stud, then it was kind of a couples beat down on the kid until the cops got there. I starfish out and get cuffed, the kid gets put on a strecher and taken to the hospital and in the end we both got the same ticket (brawling) and not one police officer took down a police report from my crying, sober, girlfriend.
I took the case to court because i didnt want that BS on my record (claimed self defense of her self defense, citizens arrest, and choice of evils) so I got to see the actual police report. It said my girlfriend was visibly drunk and screaming nonsense, then it said the police got there as Jesus was on top of me striking me in the face so they cuffed him. after they cuffed him i jumped onto him and started beating on him. This is what sent me over the edge, my attorney was saying that the town was now considering pressing assault charges against me since it was me against a defenseless person. Its complete BS that the one group of people who is supposed to be unbiased, the police, would blatantly lie because they believed it was just some stupid drunken college fight. IMO the majority of boulder cops are pricks, end of story
 
embarrasing. You've got one of the best competition skiers in the world going to your school, and he doesn't even want to be on your freestyle team.
 
Uh.....it might have more to do with the fact that college athletes can't be paid.

So any school sponsored team like the CUST would cripple an upcoming skier's chance of making some loot.

 
It's not NCAA....and it might have to do with the fact that even the best non-paid riders don't waste there time with that team.
 
I'd have to disagree, there a ton of pricks in boulder, especially at CU.
everyone is way chill in foco all the time.

toured there this morning. looked nice, and boulder as a town looks unreal. however, CU is so huge and I just liked the feel of colorado college a bit more. I'd heard the legends, but damn, there really were multiple medical marijuana dispensaries on the main road. so crazy coming from the east coast.that ridge-line road in rocky mountain NP was so impressive. despite peak tourist season, the scenery was worth it
 
FUCK THIS SHIT. im standing up for California kids. First off, much more douchy kids in SO CAL, (i live in nor cal), yet there are still douchy bros all over Cali because it just so cool to live there right? no. I do personally know a good amount of Nor Cal kids that overall chill, nice kids, who blend in with the chill side of CU and love it. Now although some Cali kids are straight fags, not all are. Kids who spend enough time in tahoe (claim/) are not the douchy type, so please, all i have to say is don't associate all Cali kids as douchy faggots. I dont wanna go to CU in 2012 and make no friends cause im from California. With all that said, So Cal kids are straight fags for the most part.
 
kind of a weird question to ask but for those of you that are really close to your parents with the decision to go to boulder how do they feel about 420 there? or do they even know what its about?

i like weed btw, dont get all bitchy. just wondering how CU "explains" 420 to incoming kids/parents. if at all.

"mom i want to go to boulder for school"

"they just smoke pot honey, its not school"
 
My parents are completely fine with it. My mom told me that she wants to get a medical card while she is out there for when I move in...so I think its fine with her
 
i think the academic record speaks for itself depending which program you're looking into, not everyone is a photo or psych major with time to kill and brain cells to spare.
 
They don't really say anything. My mom and dad had no problem letting me go there.

On another note, I fly out on Monday for orientation. I'm so stoked. Except for the fact that I'm on crutches because I just got foot surgery. Whatever, I'll still rage.
