Colorado ski towns

I am going to live in colorado next year and moving out there pretty blind. I am going to stay in boulder for a little bit but what are the best towns for being a ski bum and having a nice night life. I was thinking maybe frisco or crestte butte. What are they like?

move to frisco if you want a bunch of yuppie wankers and mediocre at best skiing. everything is REALLY expensive (rent, food, drinks, etc).

the butte is cool, lots of chill people and while rent is high, most other things aren't. great skiing too. the park has finally caught up with the extremes, plus insane backcountry.

look at durango and leadville. two good towns for skiing.

dudes if you were smart and ski at butte you wouldnt reccomend it! you want ppl to start coming there more than now?

but since they've exposed it already, it is a great town, and mountain, super chill, Butte has the best atmosphere of any mounatin i've been to...

Try something south around durango if you like big mountian stuff,if not CB because it is really nice, or Frisco because it is by alot of resprts

your mom was incredible last night.

but seriously, on another topic, breckenridge and vail SUCK. everything is super expensive and theres WAAAAAY to many assholes. every popped collar wannabe pro snowboarder is all over that town. the girls are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dirty its not even funny. have fun with your nasty vail stds.

Just get a job as a liftie at breck, and live in employee housing. CB is pretty small, there's a few bars and a very expensive grocery store, last time i was there the movie theater was closed, I don't know if it still is. Summit county is pretty big and has just about everything a majoy city does.

CB there Cb with a good park and extream skiing and good nightlife and my personal faviort ski area MONARCH is about an hour away

The movie theatre is back. But we still only have a few bars. Dont come here. I like this place to myself. It sucks here...

who cares how expensive it is, its a sick place to live, and as far as i'm concerned the most positive atmosphere of anywhere in colorado...not everyone needs bars to have fun and what not...as far as expensive, dude everything in the mtns is frikin expensive, i went to a movie in dillon once and it was 12.50 for just me....so i'm pretty sure its gonna be expensive anywhere bud

Sac's right, this place sucks. Plus, that new ski shop going in next year only carries twin-tips! What the fuck is up with that?

retarded, those are the worst resorts in the whole state! park only! you wanna be a park junkie move there, but if you wanna be a good skier move to utah

Dont move to evergreen there is NOTHING to do but i am under 15 mins away from Echo 30 from loveland abasin ~1h from winterpark keystone brek etc

hahaha cb... i went there a few times, nice big mtn, bad park, 6 or 8 hours from a decent park, very tight knit bunch of hippies... just wherever u can find the cheapest from Aspen to Boulder along I70 go for it...
