Colorado Ski Shop Rail Jam

It's still a bit early, but hey, after the success of last years rail jam, I want to get this out there early. Saturday, November 13th from 10-5:30, TONS of snow and rails will be on hand, and of course free swag from all our amazing event sponsors. Here's the Facebook Event page, but expect to see a registration sign-up on http://coloradoskishop.com in the near future.

can anyone compete cause i was thinkin maybe of doin but idk if u have to be super good or is it just a chill have fun type of thing

we set up enough stuff last year where the competitive kids could battle it out, and anyone else could still enjoy themselves on other features.

i didnt hear one complaint about the 10 dollars, which helped out termendously with working with the city.

this year we'll space the features out more to allow for more waiting / climbing room on hte bank.

any other requests we should try to make happen?

Yes this is open to anyone, just like last year. Again, there will be more info on how to register in the future. As far as the $10 goes, all of that went to the City of West Springfield's Park and Rec Department to help them out (which is also why we got to use the awesome space). And, like Jarrod said, more snow, more space, more features, more fun.

We'll know more when we get closer, but, there's gonna be a lot of people so have a straight forward competition is extremely difficult, it's much easier to just jam and pick out who threw down the hardest.

no girls allowed!!! jk im not gunan be mean to someone who skiis loon... i just cant do it
im pumped to hear about this early cant wait to see everyone throw down

ah damnit, i go to school right down the road and had no idea about this last year, and this fall i'm going to london. Oh well, maybe next year. I'd love to meet some nsers and see some sick skiing.

i'm taking requests now.....

something tech, a few super easy features for teh little ones, a couple of straight forward flat bars and...........................

hmmm...what can we put in that's just stupid big for a rail jam...

We gotta un-sticky that double barrel rail this year, and the rainbow box should be there too.

got to remember, i've only got a 18 foot long trailor...

the S-rail is welded together now, so its 40 feet... not gonna happen.

Rainbow box fits, we brought that to Lyman one time.

big red would be such a fun feature to hit at the rail jam idk if it would fit in your trailor. red rocket should go, idk sundown doesnt have many "small" rail features that are fun.

why am i even posting in this ill be skiing park city on the 13th.

/claim

yeah haha i was kidding about the rainbow and Flat down flat, but what about stuff like the C box, flat downflat box, rainbow box, some flat rails, red rocket, can't think of anything else

DEATH KINK, there's a really good reason it sat around all season, that second flat would have eaten anyone alive.

I like the flat down flat box (I think that would be cool at all the rail jams actually), red rocket of course, some random flat bars, rainbow box, and whatever else.

What would be SUPER sick would be to have some sort of jump to jib (basket ball hoop...?).

lets discuss jumps somemore....

scaffold on top of the cooks park hill, so you get the drop in, plus hill.....speed wouldnt be an issue, building a booter wouldnt be bad, but how would you get a landing... unless we side hilled the in run and did a poor mans re-entry jump?

I like where this is going...

How about pulling the scaffolding back and using the hill itself as the landing...it doesn't have to a be a big jump. The other option is completely building a jump and landing (similar to what was at the Mount Snow Peace Pipe Jam - they were BMX style gap jumps).

remember that hill accross the field... off the back of the first base line... i think there was a nicer hill set p there... down mellow then steep... could work...

big red is 24 feet long and built stronger than a lot of kids cars... we couldnt phyisically pick it up with out a snow cat. c-box maybe, but its 20 feet long... maybe i;'ll drive it up in the middle of the night....

flat down flat box is 24 foot long.....

i'll try to get some metal from the snow makers and make a few custom things....

but back to jumps... so drop in where? by the guard rail at the top of the hill...and then go side ways toward home plate, like how that truck drove up there last year? and then make a left hand hip style kickers?

I've never realize how long this stuff is until you have to put it on trailer huh?

Maybe something like that, it would be something we'd have to look at to see if it actually fits, cause I'm trying to do it all based on memory and I wasn't exactly thinking about it last year. But I think there might actually be some potential for greatness if we could make it work. Again, nothing super big obviously, just enough to play around on.

i beg to differ. that rail looked like one of the most fun rails ive ever seen. sure the kink is gnar, but what rail at sundown isnt? i vote to put it up this year

i like steeper kinks... manly... but then again, i'm old and not really focused on switch ups and whatever... just making it to the end is sweet.

but, i should build some more mellow things... we'll probably end up with a lot of 20 foot straight bars, single barrel, double barrel, maybe foot wide boxes... i gotta hook up the intermediate kids more.

colorado ski shop is great! for a measly 60 dollars, you can get some functioning retard to mount your bindings crooked! what a steal!

damn just realized thats this is 2:15 min away from me plus toll roads... dont kno if i can make it... thought it would only b like an hour =/
