anyone go here or anything? ive been looking at engineering schools and this seemed like a good one that was super close to the mountains.

if you go there you wouldn't have much time for skiing partying, or much other fun stuff. From what i've heard its super hardcore.

CU has a good engineering program and its only like 15 miles further away.

I was thinking about going there, I like physics and shit like that, thought I'd do some engineering, and it's a good school too. Then I saw the kids in the brochure....I took it off my list.

Not trying to sway you away from it, definitely a good school, close to good skiing too.

theres a really high suicide rate there. you are going to have tons of work so if you are really into academics youll probably like it

great academics, totally lame otherwise. its not more than 15 min closer to the mtns than boulder or denver and it has no hot chicks. at all.

i visted DU over break and fell in love with it. i highly recommend checking it out its insane.. if u play lacrosse their program is d1 and the field is sooooo money

my sister is a grad student at mines. She says the grad program is okay because she doesn't really want a party college type life, but if you are an undergrad expect TONS of work and not a big party scene. Also, very few girls, sports aren't very big, and its really not a typical college experience. On the plus side, if you come out wiht an engineering degree, you are ensured a really good job. You have to really like academics to go there though

so you recommend it as a place for a kid who has taken every AP class his school offers, doesnt party, and is 1st in his class? haha

oh no they party, they have this thing called e-dayz and its 3 days of drunkeness, its so fun, and you make boats out of ductape and cardboard and then you have to ride it down the river.

if youre lookin to go the school and ski, and youre not set on going to colorado, come to the U... ski everyday.

yea im at mines and i think cu will be much better for you. there is not much of a freeskiing scene here at mines, plus its pretty boring here
