Utah has PC, Alta,Snowbird and Brighton, all within about an hour of eachother...so uh...Hooray for utah
Colorado is too crowded.

lets see. colorada has:
1) Breck
2) Vail
3) A-Basin
4) Keystone
5) Copper
6) Beaver Creek
all within but not limited to around or under an hours drive if I-70 isnt fucked up.
Utah has:
1) Park City
2) Beaver Mountain
3) Powder Mountain
4) Alta
5) Snowbird
6) Dear Valley
7) Solitude
8) Brighton
9) Brian Head
10) Sundance
11) Elk Head Meadows
12) The Canyons
Im most certain i even forgot an area or 2.
Double the amount of ski areas in half the time it takes to get to them all. Couple that with better snow and the winner is obvious.

I was born/grew up in SLC, UT, and learned to ski at Alta and Snowbird, so those resorts are kinda like my happy places. But really, I looooove Utah skiing. I have family who lives at Winter Park, CO, so I ski there lots, but Im still diggin UT better. I've been to Vail, but never skiied... has anyone here?

Alright people, let's forget about the closeness of the drive. I've been on tons of 3+ hour road trips to a far off ski area...whoopie frickin do you might have to drive a ways. don't be lazy and go to areas that might be outta the way...CB and Wolf Creek are two that are purty far outta the way, but I've always had a great time there.
