CMC fucking sucks, barely any credits transfer and they pretty much just fuck you over. i went to the steamboat campus and they tried over charging me $1200. i told them they'd have to sue me to get it. the administrative is only there to create problems to make you stay longer, it's horrible. and they'll offer you classes in the summer and when you have paid and moved into your dorms you find out some of the classes you wanted don't even fucking exist! and the cafiteria food is good for about a week then they start cutting the ingredients and making it cheaper and cheaper and next thing you know you eat something there and shit 15 minutes later. it's horrible, i was completely mal-nurished. and if you complain about the food they'll kick your ass out and try stealing your money. fucking bitches! the people who work for the school are strictly there to live an easy life, so they don't give a fuck what your needs are as a student and they'll take 2 week vacations all the time, and leave you hangin'. also you get stupid lame fines at the dorms for like $50. (i got one for standing on a friend's skateboard while i was talking to him).....

pretty much if you have a problem with people being assholes to you and all of the alumni, i wouldn't go. a lot of the teachers are cool though, it's jsut the pricks in the main office. oh and don't get on brian hosa's bad side. he threatened to call the cops on me for trying to talk with him and totally went crazy. it was by far the worst expirience and a huge wasted of $4000. i recommend taking that money and getting an appartment and taking maybe a class or two, only ones that transfer though!

damn dude that sounds shitty, it does suck when they cancel classes all the time though, this is my first semester and i've already had to change my schedule a shitload cause classes get canceled so easily.

 
yea....those morons in the office are a bunch of monkeys....but besides that if you find a good advisor, then you tend to not get so screwed or not at all.

dude, welcome to the sucky life of transfering...most college credits don't transfer unless they are the core of the core...I transfered 3 times to 3 different schools, like you, starting out at a small 4 year, then going to a huge D1, then to another huge D1, and almost none of my shit transfered...that's just how it goes...all schools criterias are usually completely different, and sometimes, just for that reason...

Both Summit advisors suck ass.

What's all this about courses not transfering? There are a lot of gaurunteed transfer courses under the Colorado Gaurnteed Transfer program. Take those if you want to transfer. CMC gives you AA degree credit for Tennis, remedial computers, and Orienteering. Did you really expect those to transfer?

I graduated from the Alpine Campus(Steamboat) and every thing tranfered for me.

You just need to get a degree(associates is all they offer) and then the school that you are transfering to cant say anything about not accepting you credits.

I grew up in Steamboat and was not ready to quit skiing, so I got 3 years out of CMC, full time student, got a full scolarship and skied over 100 days a year, beat that with some front range school.

I am finishing up at Mesa State and coach racing so I still get to ski 100 days just most of it is a Powderhorn, talk about pathetic(20 min lift ride).
