Any other NSers racing?

I'll be riding for Boulder High, probably JV because i've never raced a bike before. Should be fun.

 
yeah it's the first year, they've had something very similar in CA for a few years now. CO is second to do it i believe.
 
That's awesome to hear you're doing that. The CO HS MTB League was started by Matt Fritzenger (sp?), the same guy who started the NorCal MTB League. My friend's and I started a team at my high school for the NorCal MTB League. I hope it's still going.

He emailed me for help, so if I have time, I might help out at some races.
 
by the way, the races are a lot of fun. get your downhill skills honed cuz most XC racers suck at it and it's a good spot to pass.
 
That's sweet dude! definately let me know if you'll be at any races, shoot me a pm or something. I'll be racing at 'em all.

Yeah my descending skills are definately up to par, climbing... not so much, either way, i really don't care, it'll be a grand ol' time either way.
 
that's exactly how i was and i always got my ass kicked haha. but then again, i have back problems so i can't keep up with the uphill pace or my back spasms out like crazy. practically the only time i was every able to pass anybody was on the downhill because of that. it's pretty funny to see how pissed people get when you pass them on the DH of an XC race. My pride moment was doing a wall ride off a rock to pass a guy. Unfortunately he passed me on the next uphill section so he had the last laugh.
 
haha either way, i'm not gonna get too competitive about it. I'd like to get top five in a couple JV races though, but either way. It'll one helluva good time. And as i said, definately hit me up if you're going to be volunteering.
