I had knee surgery about 3 weeks ago and cant ski right now so I have been fishing mainly the South Platte. Anyone else fly fish? Where do you fish? Want to fish sometime? Just seeing if anyone else on here in CO fly fishes.

I do quite a bit of fly fishing in the summers, though I slack through the winter. I live in Boulder so I fish Rocky Mountain national park, clear creek canyon (shitty but close), then normally do a few trips with my dad. Rock out the Arkansas by Salida, and by Somerset.....few other places.

I'm always looking for some people to fish with too!

yeah i was planing on heading down to the arkansas, but the south platte just south of the cheesman reservoir is really good, but i live in golden and dont even fish clear creek
 
the arkansas is so good right outside of leadville, during the summer you can just stand on the bank and watch the fish swimmin'
 
I fly fish alot. I live in Crested Butte so I mainly fish the Gunnison and Taylor rivers which are both amazing. Outside of this valley I fish the Arkansas, the frying pan, the miracle mile, and the dream stream. You should hit up 11 mile below the resevoir or hit the dream stream between Spinney and 11 mile, those are not too far from Golden.
 
Hey I am 4 weeks out of knee surgery, acl and meniscus, I have a fly rod but haven't used it much. I live in Avon and am looking for hobbyies to fill the skiing void. I think Im going to give the fly rod a shot, hit me up if your fishing around here.
