I was just reading about this online - http://www.safercolorado.org/ Sounds like a good idea to me. If you live in Colorado get out on Nov 7th and vote.

I think my parents are voting no on that. And I can't really tell them to vote yes on it cause then they'll become suspicious.
 
Its still illegal for kids under 21. And marijuana is no where near as dangerous as alcohol is, so why cant a twenty one year old responsibly have less than an ounce is possession?
 
think about how many people will vote yes though, they have 2 colleges that are huge and soooo many stoner hippies, id say its got a chance
 
I do think the college campuses will add a lot to the vote, purely because they're voting on something that really matters to them. I think, though, that the parents will succumb to the state governments propaganda about the "dangers" of marijuana. Take a look at that website, it really is bullshit - www.stop44.com
 
I believe people should be able to smoke whatever the fuck they want and should vote hell yes. As for parents who dont want there kids smokin casue its legal, do you see your kids runnin out smokin tabacco or salvia. or just fuckin talk to them its not the governments job to regulate what YOUR kids do. anyone whos votes no is a commie
 
If there was any state in America that it would pass it would be here in Colorado. We have the most potheads per capita.

I personally think it will pass for sure. Pretty much the same thing passed in denver. Now they just want it to be state wide.
 
i think if they are motivated for anything it would be this...take what 15 minutes to eliminate all worries of getting in trouble for smoking...sounds worth it to me
 
I bet a lot of adults will vote yes simply because they do it also. I know my parents did. Heck my dad still might. my girlfriends dad is a HUGE pothead.
 
a lot of the kids at the colleges arent residents of colorado so they probably cant vote for the law, like ur brother
 
My friend told me that Nevada was voting on this same law, or one very similar to it. He said the government would sell ounces for $45, haha.
 
you think the voting process is tampered with at all? like you think it gets fucked with. how much confidence do you have in our voting system? im not sayin i dont i was just thinkin
 
fuck colorado.... if the do leagalize it it will last like ten minuts till the feds declare martal law or some shit.. and any way.. the prices would go up.. which is fucked cause you got to pay a grip in rado to get some decent shit.... but shit i want that candy
 
ya im pretty sure the price would go down, explain the logic how not having any risk and a larger supply going to raise prises?
 
there's no way it will even pass in the first place, too many parents will vote no. even if it did pass, isn't marijuana illegal under federal law? a state can't pass a law that contradicts a federal law, federal law prevails over all state laws.

dont get me wrong... i love pot..... i like it how it is... i really dont give a fuck... i get it cheap no one bothers me.. i dont run down the street with a bong in my hand... but yeah.... the price of an oz. would go up.. and if it were legal the money and time the po po aimed at you the user and the dealer... will be added to getting the grower wich would shorten supply and in turn raise prices
 
I agree, they probably would put a significant tax on it, but i really doubt that it will be as much as it is right now, or more expensive.

If people were allowed to grow it, I think it'd be super cheap, but I believe that growing weed is still illegal according to this law.
 
taxes that the government would put on it would be ridiculous. they should change that campaign logo so it doesnt have the pot leaf in the background. it would be more effective without it because just the leaf scares people away.
 
dont be stupid people all this law enables is people 21 and over to be in the possession of under one ounce of grass under state law. colorado isnt going to be selling weed anytime soon and they def arent going to be taxing. so just vote yes and well get a little closer to the later.

Yea the amendment has all sorts of holes in it. You can possess under an ounce if you are over 21. However you can not grow it, you can not sell it, and you can not buy it. You are only allowed to give it to people for no compensation whatsoever. So, no matter what somebody is still forced to break the law, and this person will be cracked down on harder than before (the growers). However, I do feel like it is a move in the right direction...So get out there and vote damnit!
 
lol ya, i like how almost all of the reasons they give you to vote no is because other people are voting no.
 
i heard, from as kid that was doing a rally for amendment 44, that the state law can overrule the federal law. the state and federal law however does override city laws. co the only reason that the law was passed in Denver was so that it could be put on the state ballot.(The law didn't do anything when it was just in Denver)
 
I'm voting no on it becuase if it passes it will make weed way harder to get for me.

plus, if you are old enough to vote you will be able to have weed within a few years if the law passes.
 
For what it's worth. I've had a good majority of all of those products posted above. A friend of a friend is a major funder in the company that produces it. It is for medical marijuana users and is not sold on the street by any drug dealers period. It is sold in california and states where you can have a "green card" RX
