I meant like a lot better (like 3 or 4 times). If you got a watercooled pc, 12 gig ram, intel i7 extreme etc. it will take like 5 seconds to turn on and be ready to use.

One of my teachers got it, he built it himself. Pretty cool guy

I run ubuntu 95% of my time and have vista dual booted with a 14gb partition and 200ish on ubuntu. works better and runs smoother than windows imo.

Ive had my mac for 2 and a half years, maybe more
600+ battery cycles, thats how much ive used it.

Its basically new.

PCs on the other hand, the plastic has cracked and the screen doesn't stay up anymore after half that time.

Macs are the best for what they are intended for.

they also dont get infested with viruses, are full of random files everywhere, crash every day, are big and bulky.

and to be honest (im kinda getting into this mac vc pc rant) , a PC with a bigger core and more ram n shit does not mean it will run faster, i have a MBP 2.53? and 2gb of ram(as u can see) and my friend has a PC which is much better, it has 4gb of ram and is 2.66+ and my mbp starts up and runs significantly faster then his PC, we ran everything from COD4 to just itunes + the internet. the mac is the winner, by enough.

I got nothing on mac users, but this is the obvious truth:Mac -> Auto. drivingWindows -> Stick driving.
I dont know about y'all, but I damn well prefer to have control over my car and drive a stick. Same for my PC.

But in all seriousness, macs are wayyyy better than Windows computers. The OS is cleaner and more usable, the hardware is nicer (aluminum body ftw). I also develop iPhone apps, and need to run the iPhone SDK, which is not available for windows. I also like iWork a lot better than microsoft office for mac. Pages is much better than word, word is too clunky and big. Keynote is 100x better than powerpoint, the transitions are professional and amazing looking, and again, it is not clunky at all.

That being said, I am excited to try a Windows Phone 7 when they come out, all though I doubt anything at the moment can sway me away from the iPhone 4.

is this seriously happening again? they both have pros and cons, and it's a subjective thing which one you need/like more. i'd love to see you dorks come to my work and tell me i should be using a PC while i'm editing TBs of HVX footage and putting huge sequences into Keynote presentations. you guys need to take a break from the internet if you think one platform is objectively better than the other. fuck.
