Color correction help

so i have been searching the interwebs for hour and havent found anything helpful.

i want to color correct my videos and make everything seem color boosted.

you know when you see a edit with there colors boosted and they really hd?

i usually use ,magic bullet and its not floating my boat anymore

anyone have any ideas what i should do?

learn how to use Color in the fcp suite. its awesome and can make your stuff look awesome. all kinds of tutorials online

just gunna bump this instead of making a new thread, when i recdord with my t2i i record flat as someone told me to try it, dsoes that help the coloor once you color correect it??

No. If your trying to boost colors why would you record with less color. Just more work in post and you're just mangling the footage

Bring the saturation to about 160% and slide the contrast to like 140%. It will be very dynamic and HD.

thats what i did and it worked pretty well, just wanted too see if there was a better way.

aslo is there a better way to get a widescreen view with out going to crop in typing in 10? i dont wanna loose the person in the middle of the frame

Yeah. Bring the saturation to 200% and up the contrast to like 190%. It will look just about 4k.
