well, this year has been really bad snow wise. on friday the lift lines had turned into pure ponds like a foot and a half deep. USASA nationals didn't help it either, 2000+ extra kids destroying our park... its gonna get bad and temperatures in the 60's+ will ruin the snow. Unless they Collegiate nationals people work something else out, it might be a joke.

I'm in..... I love hucking no grab pencil style spins off tiny table so this could be the best comp ever.....PSYCHE!!! see ya'll up there friday quickkk

I just found out stillcity is entering the comp. If you haven't entered yet don't bother because he is going to win the whole thing hands down. I mean no one even has a chance. If you now who he is then you know what I am talking about. If you don't it will be some of your first times seeing the magellen world finder, cincygrabs, cuttyrollers, herkouts, and the famed double chocolate shit fuck.

well imma be down there wednesday - sunday so i might be lookin for someone to ride with, msg me if youre down.

as of 4 o'clock this afternoon, the event organizers had not yet decided if they comp is going to be on pinball or on pioneer... so the step-up is officially up in the air right now. qualifiers are tommorrow, so we'll see.

I was there yesterday! I wasn't competing or anything. It's only 4 features. 1st hit: choice, down rail or flat down box. 2nd hit: either a tall up-flat-down box or low up-flat-down box. 3rd hit: small 15-20 ft step down? 4th: 30-35 ft step down? I wasn't sure cause I didn't ride the course, but it looked pretty small. I thought there was supposed to be a halfpipe part of the competition as well, but the halfpipe wasn't cut or anything. I was kinda bummed, only one small/medium kicker for me to hit at the bottom of pinball. =( That super long box was fun!

event was pretty sick. very well set up with organization and filming and what not. it was legit. only downside was it was ice as fuck in the morning and was snowing throughout the day, got to be almost too slow by the last finals run. It suck for whoever had to go first each time because they had to take the snow off the boxes with there grinds, but over it had a good feel.

actually the set-up was super-lame. too lame for a nationals event. i don't like bashin, but that was actually worth bashin. northstars shit get lamer every year. they get some good ideas, they just don't build burly enough shit to stand up to the reputation they try to hold. stash would have been sick if they got some snow, but other than that the only time their park is worth riding is for post-season filming, triple crown, team challenge, or when your hung over and just want to go socialize with the bro bra crack-o-noon crew

I was talking about the the cameras and event coordination, with all the tents and food and everything else. I think anyone who has every ridden Northstar could tell you the course was not so legit....expecially the jumps...like always

dude, you have to remember that the entire onth before the comp, northstar was basically a swimming pool. They did what they could with what they had. National quailty? probably not. Northstar wasn't top notch this year for sure, but there post season stuff more than made up for it.

yea the set-up with the media and professional aspect was awsome. i was real impressed by that.

as far as snow conditions, how did alpine manage to have a 50 footer to 65 footer on one run and a 75 footer on another the same week? and boreal having an ill ass park all season?

all of tahoe had a rough season as far as snow and temperature go

but boreal and alpine were smart and actually used there snow guns. it was too warm to blow in march, but the other mountains prepared and bl;ew all through december and january when they could. its called planning... thats why eric rosenwald is a sick ass park builder, cause he uses his head

reguardless it was a fun comp.

imagine if there were 40ft or bigger jumps that day. i don't know about you, but i had a hard enough time getting speed for the the 5 footer.
