Im joe and I'm a senior in high school and just started applying to colleges. My average is a 93 and i got a 1510 on my SAT and a 22 on my ACT. I live in New York and I skiing is my life. Im trying to find colleges that are close to ski mountains and have a good vibe. So far I've applied to Castelton VT, Plattsburgh NY, UNH NH, and Plymouth NH. Any advice would be very helpful.

^ 0.o yeah...anyway MSU, winona state, university of portland, utah state, oregon state are all the colleges im apllying to.

Im from pittsburgh. im going to colorado mountain college. i know its far but its worth a shot

lol my mom told me to get a real education when i asked if i could go to cmc, id suggest the same for you. go to mesa or fort lewis not too hard to get into and both really close to amazing terrain

UVM was the only place I applied to so I can't really speak about anything else.

It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a good time usually. I've met a lot of great people here over the years. Pretty much everybody does some form of sliding on snow strapped to something, and if they don't then they probably live in a hole.

Shit's expensive as fuck for out of staters. UVM was the only other school (other than the one I'm at now) that I applied to. I got in, peeped the offer letter and was like LOLnah.

UU is dope, SLC rocks. My friends there seem to be having a freaking awesome time shredding Utah pow.

this unr was my first choice till i wanted to get the fuck away from my hometown. fucking great school, great town, casinos, and tahoe

I wanted to go to Colorado School of Mines but its so much cheaper here, Reno would be cool to get away from but there more I looked at it, the cooler it seems now

CU Boulder. not that hard to get into. not too hard academically. good post education career aid. lotta skier goons. lotta goons in general. lotta cuties. 6,000 person freshman class...you make a fool of yourself infront of some hot chick....fuck it you'll never see her again. oh and summit county of course. UVM is also a cool schoolio

check out NAU in flagstaff az.. I go there and everybody is super chill, its just a layed back relatively small town, and the mountain is only like 10-15 mins away..

You're good dude. Apply there. Burlington is a cool town. Not that any college town is completely boring, but burlington is a fun place.

I would almost say that Stowe gets as much snow as and has as gnarly terrain as half of the mountains on the i70 corridor, with a third of the drive. It's 1.5 to 2 hours from Denver or Fort Collins to get to any decent skiing.

That being said, MSU would be a good choice, as would U of Utah.
