colleges near mammoth

So mammoth seems to be the place where i want to be headed so i was wondering if anyone could help me out with some GOOD colleges near mammoth, preferably not super small schools

um mammoth is..Mammoth. There is nothing surrounding it. The closest decent college is UNR(uni of Nevada RENO) 3 hours away. Mammoth is in Ass crack no where and I doubt theres anything in Bishop haha.

 
UNR is your best bet. youre within a few hours of mammoth, and a half hour of tahoe. after that youre stuck with cal state sacramento, hour and a half from tahoe, and probably 5 from mammoth, or the socal schools. also like 5+ hours from mammoth.

Almost all of the socal schools have Ski/Snowboard clubs that go up to Mammoth all the time. CSU Long Beach has a house in mammoth and their team members get to use it whenever they want.

I go to USC, and in previous years we had a house up there, but this year our dean of student affairs was a dick and wouldnt approve any lease because he just got wind of something that happened in the house a few years ago.

The 5 hour drive to Mammoth is pretty annoying, but it is cool being in LA and being able to go to Mammoth whenever. Hopefully we will have a house again next year.

You guys are all forgetting UC Davis. It's light years ahead of UNR, sorry, and it's only 1.5 hrs to Sugar Bowl and 2 hrs from the South Shore of Tahoe. You can also get to Kirkwood and Alpine in about 2hrs from Davis. The SOS club at Davis is awesome and rides are never hard to find.

There's just nothing around Mammoth. There's even a JC up in Tahoe that you could check out. Get a degree from Davis and you'll be set.

 
Sorry but UC davis is not light years ahead of UNR, it may be a better school, but not light years ahead. It also depends on your majore. UNR is the closest Univerity to mammoth I believe, It's also only 30 minutes to 1 hour away from pretty much any resort in tahoe.

VTjibber...Mammoth was the place to be, this year...well next season, its going to be Mt Hood, just wait and see.

But Tahoe is tight because its not talked about very much and has perfect parks and so many resorts and OCASIONALY gets snow.

 
yeah dude. dont go to mammoth. go to colorado mountain college in aspen, or breck, or vail, or steamboat, or wherever. its a community college and its fucking badass.

 
Mt.hood will never be the place to be in the winter, i skied in oregon for 16 years so i know so. shitty weather. Tahoe on the other hand, is awsome...minus the crowds and gaypers.

Sierra Nevada college is a awsome mountnain school on the north shore of lake tahoe.

Fuck uc davis, real skiers dont live in big citys.
