so i'm starting to think about college and stuff and of course i need one near skiing i would really like to go live in vancouver and be close to whistler so i was wondering if anyone on here knew of good colleges in the area with strong arts programs

i have no idea what the art program is like at UBC. but i just got in there and it seems pretty sick.

that's where you're wrong, i'm the funnest person at ubc and i'm in engineering. jk jk.

but yeah, UBC is fucking sick, come here anyways, who gives a shit how good the arts program is (i think it's pretty good anyways), you're guaranteed to have a fucking blast if you go to this school. if you don't, you're obviously trying to avoid fun, especially if you live in residence, and even moreso if you live in totem park residence specifically.

what kinda of arts do you mean? fine arts? visual arts? history? graphics? geography?? poly sci?    if your looking into like drawing/ painting, graphics and things, look into emily carr art institue, cap college also has some good arts stuff and is on the north shore so its right beside local mtns and closer to whistler.  If your doing acedemic arts then go to ubc.  visual stuff ubc is still okey i think, i have some friends in it...but emily carr is the place to be.

i got into arts the other day... still have to come and check it out but its between UBC and UVM. ahhh i dont know.

the west coast is the best coast... Enough said.

I'd think Vancouver/Whistler is a lot better than Burlington/Stowe but that's just me, and probably even cheaper too.

also, I'm transferring to UBC for next semester...So there's a bonus right there, you can ski wit h me.

oh yeah... a lot cheaper for sure. but also a lot further and a lot bigger.

hows class size and such?

i'm in eng so i can't really help much, but i've got classes that range from 20 students (labs/my first year english) to about 250 students (my physics/chemistry lectures)

UBC is sick, there's so much to do here. The campus is really nice, and the on campus bar (the pit) is pretty good, especially on wednesdays (pit night). It's also an excellent place for coffee addicts, there's at least 4 starbucks on campus (off the top of my head) as well as some other coffee places. Another good thing about UBC is the bus service.... tons of busses run to and from UBC, with the last bus being at about 3am i think.

haha yeah totem. my bro was there, haha and the totem meat market. oh god im gonna have a hell of a good time when i come next year. super stoked for residence life and skiing. fuck interior bc, coast is where its at.
